Performance Notes n this song image of Lord, shepherd feeding his flock, is combined with three texts from different places in Old and New Testaments. t beginning of Verses 1 and 2 (and in middle of Verse 3) sudden entrance of C chord should be accompanied by sudden strength in melody, showing shepherd as one who is gentle yet strong and forceful ( myself will shepherd m, and Take my yoke... ) The Refrain, each time it returns, exhibits again calmness and gentleness of Lord s care. soloist may sing Verses, with assembly entering on Refrain. SMPL The guitar picking pattern should be steady with little change of tempo until very end.
