Nine years later on October 19, 2013, Ben joined us as a Young Eagle Pilot and flew 3 young eagles. Ben, has achieved both a Private Pilot Certificate and Glider rating. He is a technician at Free Flight Composites and is working to earn an A&P Certific a t e a n d dreams of becoming a test pilot. Next Meeting : Breakfast and Buddy Rides Hank Bartlett, Bill Clothier, Jim Densmore, Burrall Sanders, Wyman Varnedoe, Dub Wiltrout, & Lee Wolford will be bringing their planes and giving rides to YOU! Mike Jerger and Esther Smith plan a leisurely cooked when you order breakfast to allow you to fly and eat when you want and still get a hot meal. Breakfast is served 8:30 AM 11:00 AM / $5 person donation

NOVEMBER 2013 PIKE S PEAK F LYER PAGE 3 October proved to be a great turnout for our last Young Eagle rally in 2013. Brian Esch and Chris Sedgwick provided safe aircraft movement. Nathan Hawkins and Josiah Bookman (not pictured) handled the loading and unloading of Young Eagles and Aaron Bookman kept the certificates printing. It was good to have Scott Benger bring his Luscombe over and Brad Henry is back home for good, we hope.

Richard and I will still be around and stay active with the chapter, but we will also be gone a lot after May 2014. Meetings start at 6:30 PM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month with a Chapter cookout the following Saturday most of the warm months April November. Look for the calendar of events to highlight special chapter events like Young Eagle Rallies, fly-outs, and all other chapter sponsored activities. The Chapter Newsletter is published monthly, normally mailed and available on the website a few days before each meeting. Readers are encouraged to contribute articles, photos, etc. by submitting them to the Newsletter Editor in hard copy email, pen/ paper, as long as it s not verbal by the first Saturday of each month. Annual membership is $20. Send to Sandy Martin, at 7505 Mallard Drive, Peyton, CO 80831 and start receiving the newsletter each month, attending the meetings and having a great time with sport aviation.
