Performane Suggestions Your hymn arrangement is designed to be very flexible aommodatg many different struments. Along with standard brass quartet/qutet and timpani parts you will also fd parts written for duet and/or trio struments. The Duet parts are terhangeable beten different struments so that if you have a trumpet, alto sax and trombone (or any or ombation), eah strument may use its own part, and you an have m alternate beten 1 st, 2 nd and desant parts. You may want to use parts for first verse, solo or unison melody with different struments on various middle verses, and n parts with desant on fal verse. It s your hoie dependg on your needs and abilities of your musiians. The brass arrangement will work as a trio, quartet, qutet, large brass hoir or even a band of mixed brass, wd and strg struments. All parts are marked with doublgs and substitutions, and performane suggestions are listed on bottom of page. You may want to beg hymn with a brass trodution eir entire verse, or a portion of it n have m play with ongregation for 1 st verse; seond verse an be aompanied by piano/organ alone (and guitars if you have m); for third verse you may want to feature a solo strument with piano/organ, and n brg entire ensemble along with desant for fal verse.
