WELCOME LETTER Dear Supporter, As we all know, there is nothing like the experience of attending a live orchestral performance. The sights, the sounds and the collaboration between the conductor and the musicians create an experience that can bring together a community. To make world-renowned orchestral performances accessible to classical music enthusiasts nationwide, the Los Angeles Philharmonic (LA Phil), NCM Fathom, and Cineplex Entertainment are bringing back - for a second season - the popular, in-theatre program LA Phil LIVE. LA Phil LIVE s second season will bring you three specially selected performances: Dudamel Conducts Mendelssohn (October 9), featuring Dutch violin virtuoso Janine Jansen; Dudamel Conducts Mahler 8, Symphony of a Thousand (February 18), live from Caracas, Venezuela with both the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela; and an exciting broadcast in spring 2012, to be announced. Complete details, including descriptions and times, are included in the Event Overview on the following pages. We are asking for your support to help create greater access to classical music by promoting these in-theatre events to your local community. As a promotional partner for LA Phil LIVE, you will play a role in generating enthusiasm for the series among existing classical music lovers, while also introducing new audiences to classical music. In exchange for your commitment, the LA Phil can provide you with the following: Name inclusion on pre-event slides in movie theatres nationwide Name inclusion and direct link to your website on the LA Phil LIVE website Incentives such as LA Phil T-shirts, posters, CDs and DVDs A limited number of comp tickets to each LIVE event Potential opportunity to attend local broadcasts and promote your organization at your theatre To make it easy for you, we have created a digital toolkit to help you share this experience with your network. Our toolkit is available at www.laphillive.com. Also available on this site is additional information about the series including theatre locations and a link to purchase tickets. We hope you will consider using LA Phil LIVE in-theatre events as a chance to continue to inspire your community.
