Your musical journey through this mountain retreat awaits you upon landing at Hailey International Airport in Hailey, Idaho. You ll be met and transferred to your hotel in Ketchum, just a 20-minute drive. Depending upon flight times, you ll enjoy a casual introductory walking tour of downtown Ketchum before meeting your host and program manager early evening for refreshments and an orientation. Day 2: Discover Sun Valley & Ketchum Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and our first official activity as a group! Our guest of honor, Maestro Alasdair Neale, will regale you with insights on his 22 years as Music Director of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony and give you an idea of what lies ahead for you in the 4 upcoming SVSS concerts! In the afternoon, we ascend Bald Mountain, the highest peak in the Valley. Adventure seekers and active travelers can hike or bike up to the summit should they wish; we will convene at the Galena Lodge for coffee or tea and snacks, and take the gondola down together. We meet at the hotel lobby just as the evening begins to make our way over to the Sun Valley Pavillion for the first SVSS performance of our trip. Day 3: Explore Sun Valley Your morning and afternoon are yours to explore the majestic region as you wish. Please refer to the brochure for suggestions and optional group activities, and contact your trip manager if you require advanced assistance in planning your day. Following our second concert, we will head back to the hotel, where a scrumptious dinner celebration with Alasdair and SVSS/Marin Symphony awaits at the Knob Hill Grille!

"It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters in the end." -Ernest Hemingway Day 4: Arts & Leisure In the afternoon, we will gather to sample the visual delights that Sun Valley's annual Arts & Crafts Festival has to offer! We will head into 2 renowned local galleries in the heart of downtown. Before heading back to the hotel to enjoy the evening as you wish, we'll stop in at Sun Valley Wine Company, home to a dizzying supply of carefully curated bottles of wine and beer from around the world, for a mid-day drink and snack. As there are no concerts scheduled for this evening, please refer to your guidebook for suggested restaurants, activities, and events. Day 5: Family Favorites & A Frozen Spectacular The afternoon is yours to further explore this breathtaking city at your own pace. Please refer to the brochure for suggestions and optional group activities, and contact your trip manager if you require advanced assistance in planning your day. Tonight we've planned a sound and sights spectacular for the evening. We begin again at the Pavilion with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony. We'll walk over to the Sun Valley Ice Rink next door for a gourmet buffet dinner and a spectacular on ice! Day 6: An Artful Finale We are honored to be welcomed into the exquisite home of a local artist and longtime Sun Valley Summer Symphony supporter. Following a delicious buffet brunch, the host and a curator will present an engaging talk on the sumptuous collection of artworks that you are about to consume. For our final Symphony concert, we venture out onto the Lawn, a time-honored and beloved tradition for many concertgoers, and enjoy a delicious champagne picnic dinner as the Sun Valley Summer Symphony performs the finale of our trip. Day 7: Farewells The day is open for traveling; if you are not taking the non-stop flight in the early morning, have breakfast one last time with Symphony staff and remaining fellow travelers, now dear friends!
