SKYLIGHTOPERA.COM The Rivals September 16 - October 2, 2011 The Music Man November 18 - December 18, 2011 Beyond the Ingénue December 30 - January 8, 2012 Edith Piaf Onstage January 27 - February 12, 2012 Daddy Long Legs March 9 - April 1, 2012 Things That Go Ding! April 27 - May 6, 2012 Sunday in the Park with George May 18 - June 10, 2012 Our shows are a blend of the well-known and the unfamiliar, awaiting discovery. We proudly present two world premieres this season as part of our effort to develop the musical and dramatic theatre art form for generations to come. At Skylight, you ll find fresh theatre created by extraordinary directors and design teams who honor the integrity of each piece. At the core of each production lies a story that is inspirational and memorable, brought to life by artists, both local and from around the country, of unparalleled excellence. These musical theatre icons endowed the ingénue the girl-next-door with wit, spine and spirit. As their careers progressed, they also re-invented themselves, and their journeys have inspired Niffer on her own voyage of self-discovery and revelation. Beyond the Ingénue is an evening of glorious music, fun stories, and Niffer s amazing personal tales of touring with Shirley Jones! Featuring Niffer Clarke and Richard Carsey Featuring an unbelievable collection of vintage, vaudeville percussion novelties known as Ding s Dynasty, highbrow meets lowbrow in this zany and highly entertaining show. Ding and the Not Quite Ready for the Skylight Pit Orchestra offer virtuosic and often ill-advised versions of works by such musical luminaries as Bizet, Liszt and, of course, Gilbert and Sullivan.
