www.eurovision.net/news/dashboard.php PILOT PHASE USER GUIDE August 2011
EUROVISION NEWS EXCHANGE DASHBOARD FAQs What is the Eurovision News Exchange Dashboard? The dashboard makes it possible for Eurovision News Exchange members to download broadcast quality files from the Eurovision News Exchange directly to your computer from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Is it available freely for all members? Not yet, it's currently in a pilot phase where we'll ask members to try it out and give us feedback. This will give the EBU the chance to iron out problems and make improvements considering your feedback. We hope to launch as a full service in the first quarter of 2012. Which members are involved in the pilot? All active News Exchange members who are contributing their content to the Eurovision News Exchange through the ipush/ipull beta service are invited to take part in this pilot. What can I download from the site? You can download broadcast quality files as mpg2. In certain cases you'll be able to download the native format of the file if it comes from a member that has contributed their content via the ipush/ipull system. Furthermore, you can download low resolution video for use on the web or audio only versions for the radio. What if the page isn't working? Please remember that this is a pilot. It's not a service. As with any pilot, there can be problems or technical issues that we will need to deal with. Therefore, we reserve the right to take the page offline for maintenance at any point. If you have problems, or you have feedback suggestions, please email ttf@eurovision.net and we will come back to you asap. Please do not call the Eurovision Newsdesk. When will it become a service? We will evaluate the page as a pilot for roughly six months before rolling it out as a service to all members.
