This information can be found at LoneStarPercussion.com or by using a Google search. WOODWIND CARE INFORMATION After PRACTICE!! Wipe off fingerprints (small cotton cloth) and swab the water from your instrument () Take off the reed and place it in your reed guard. Use the to dry the inside of each section of your instrument. Never put your instrument up without swabbing it out. Store only items in your case that fit. Forcing music or other objects into your case can cause major damage to your instrument. EVERY WEEK: Wash mouthpiece (ONLY) with soap and warm (NOT HOT) water. BRASS CARE INFORMATION EVERY DAY: PRACTICE!! o Wipe off and oil valves o Wipe off fingerprints o Empty the water from your instrument (use a hand towel) o Store only items in your case that fit. Forcing music or other objects into your case can cause major damage to your instrument. Once a WEEK: o Wash mouthpiece with warm (NOT HOT) water or toothpaste and mouthwash. o Wipe off valves or Trombone slides and apply fresh lubricant.

Once a MONTH: Give your instrument a bath 1. Fill the tub with warm (NOT HOT) water 2. Take out the valves and put them aside 3. Take all slides apart and place them in the water 4. Put soap on the snake and scrub out all pieces 5. Rinse thoroughly and dry 6. OIL VALVES AND GREASE ALL SLIDE.
