Directed by Matt Pfeiffer, the three person cast features Damon Bonetti, Daniel Fredrick and Dave Johnson in multiple, quick change roles. The Hound of the Baskervilles runs May 28 June 28, 2015 (press opening: Wednesday, June 3, at 7 p.m.). Tickets are $22 $39 and are available online at lanterntheater.org or by calling the Lantern Box Office at (215) 829 0395. Discounts are available for seniors 65 and up, groups of 10 or more and U.S. military personnel. $10 student rush tickets are available 10 minutes before curtain with valid ID; cash only. $10 industry tickets are available online, by phone or at the box office. One of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's most beloved Holmes mysteries gets a zany makeover when performed by a trio of endearing clowns and klutzes. Cheeky and fast paced, The Hound of the Baskervilles offers farcical surprises, brilliant theatrical invention, and a new twist on the greatest detective of all time. "If you value your life, keep away from the moor!" This mysterious, unsettling note troubles Henry Baskerville on his journey to the desolate moorlands of Baskerville Hall. A terrifying curse has haunted his family for

generations and, as the manor's most recent heir, young Henry could be its next victim. Only Sherlock Holmes can help, or he would... if he weren't a bit of a buffoon! The Cast and the Production Team: Matt Pfeiffer comes to the Lantern having directed critically acclaimed productions of The Whale at Theatre Exile and To The Moon at 1812 Productions earlier this year. At the Lantern he has directed The Train Driver and The Foocy, which earned him one of his six Barrymore Award nominations for Best Direction of a Play. The recipient of the F. Otto Haas Award for an Emerging Artist, he is a popular director at Arden Theatre Company, Theatre Exile, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, and Two River Theatre. Damon Bonetti makes his Lantern debut following an appearance this season in And Then There Were None at Walnut Street Theatre where he has also been seen in Arsenic and Old Lace, The Glass Menagerie, Around the World in 80 Days, and The Last Night in Ballyhoo. Nominated for a Barrymore Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Play for Orange Flower Water at Luna Theatre, he has appeared locally in numerous productions at Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival, Theatre Exile, Theatre Horizon, Hedgerow Theatre, Flashpoint Theatre, and Passage Theatre. Daniel Fredrick returns to the Lantern where he appeared earlier this season in Arcadia. He has been featured at the Walnut Street Theatre in Mickle Street and at Quintessence Theatre Group in The Wind in the Willows, Diary of a Madman, Othello, The Venetian Twins and The Merchant of Venice. A twotime winner of the Ann L. Rhodes Award for Excellence in Performance from Texas Christian University, he has starred in several productions at Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and Trinity Shakespeare Festival. Dave Johnson returns to the Lantern where he has appeared in Taming of the Shrew this season, and previously in The Liar, A Midsummer Night s Dream, Scapin and Hamlet. His other local credits include productions at Arden Theatre Company, People s Light & Theatre Company, Theatre Exile, The Wilma Theatre and Theatre Horizon. Johnson is a founding member of The Beserker Residents, a group of Philly based artists dedicated to original works of alternative comedy with a pop comic aesthetic.

The Hound of the Baskervilles brings together a creative team of several Lantern veterans, starting with Set Designer Meghan Jones, whose recent Lantern designs include Arcadia, Henry V and Private Lives. Lighting Designer Drew Billiau previously designed Henry V and Train Driver, and Sound Designer Christopher Colucci s designs from earlier this season include Doubt and Arcadia, for which he also created original music. Costume Designer Julia Poiesz makes her Lantern debut, having most recently designed And Then There Were None for Walnut Street Theatre.
