Providing the imaging performance required by professional users Exceptional colour accuracy, outstanding resolution and high contrast 4096 Faithful colour reproduction The DP-V10 excels in the accurate, repeatable and stable colour reproduction required for colour grading procedures both on-set and in the studio and as an alternative to a dedicated DCI-compliant projector in post-production. Full-HD 1080 1920 4K Digital Cinema 4096 DP-V10 2160 2560 High resolution With outstanding 4096 x 2560 resolution, the IPS LCD panel can display true DCI standard 4K (4096 x 2160) video, without any scaling. The display offers a panel aspect ratio of 16:10 suitable for PC-based editing tasks, such as high-resolution visual-effects production work and still-image processing. Wide colour gamut of richer colours An IPS LCD panel and high-purity RGB LED backlight system support the colour gamuts of multiple broadcast standards - including DCI (SMPTE RP 431-2), ITU-R BT.709, EBU, SMPTE-C and Adobe RGB*. *Not all of the RGB chromaticity points are contained. High level of uniformity Canon s image processor corrects in-plane nonuniformity for both the panel and backlight, to realise bright, highly uniform on-screen colours. Smooth and accurate gradations A 10-bit panel driver works with the processor to enable the display of 1,024 gradation levels for each RGB colour, allowing the DP-V10 to deliver exceptionally smooth and accurate gradation characteristics across all content types. High contrast ratio The high-contrast IPS LCD panel and Canon s image processing technology combine to achieve a contrast ratio of more than 2000:1 the minimum recommended by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers for digital cinema post-production work*. Accurate reproduction of gradation ensures faithful display of dark images, such as shadow detail or night-time scenes. * SMPTE RP 431-2:2011 Wide 178º viewing angle The DP-V10 supports a wide angle of view thanks to minimal changes in colour and contrast across the IPS LCD panel offering a highly effective solution in editing rooms or settings where multiple users wish to check image quality. 2K/Full HD high quality image displays The DP-V10 offers three scaling display modes for 2K cinema and Full HD video production, including Canon s original Shape Trace mode that suppresses the jagged appearance of diagonal lines when content is enlarged and displayed at full-screen resolution. Shape Trace Smooth displays with no conspicuous jagged edges in diagonal lines. Bicubic General interpolation process that uses neighbouring pixel information to create interpolated pixels. Nearest neighbour The original pixels are simply enlarged and displayed.
A broad spectrum of functions Seamless integration into any production workflow Canon Log support A dedicated Canon Log picture mode allows easy conversion of Canon Log gamma images, captured using Cinema EOS cameras, into images suitable for monitoring. Example of 4K workflow with EOS C500 Canon Log External recorder ASC CDL support Support is provided for the ASC CDL* format used in video production workflows. CDL data can be easily created using the display controller and a USB memory device can be used to import and export information allowing colour and gradation information to be adjusted and saved on-location and used in post-production. * ASC CDL: American Society of Cinematographers Colour Decision List 1D/3D LUT Support for a range of 1D/3D LookUp Tables allows accurate colour matching at every stage of production. LUT data is easily imported using the display unit menus so colours, gradations and looks can be reproduced exactly as intended. Dials on the remote control enable image quality to be adjusted intuitively and comfortably. Simple on screen display menus The DP-V10 features easy-to-read list-type menus. A slide bar GUI is displayed at the bottom of the screen when using the image quality dials enabling adjustments to be previewed on screen. Flexible installation The display can be used on a desktop or installed on a standard 19-inch (approx. 483 mm) equipment rack.
