VMAX Dual Series Section 1: Screen Design s 1.1 What is it? The VMAX Dual Series is an electric/motorized projection screen with alternating 16:9 and 2.35:1 aspect ratio options. This unique dual aspect ratio screen is compatible with all projectors and no anamorphic lens or projector with memory lens is required. The VMAX Dual is a Constant Image Width (CIW) screen which means the width stays the same on both formats. This allows for setting up your 16:9 image first, then simply bringing down the 235 screen with no additional projector adjustment required. 1.2 How does it work? The VMAX Dual Series utilizes twin MaxWhite (matte white) front projection materials. It is operated using a Radio Frequency (RF) remote control with independent 16:9 and 2.35:1 buttons to drop the required screen format. It also has a U button to raise the screen when not in use. The VMAX Dual has two motors, one for each screen panel. The product includes a Radio Frequency remote control that can also be used as a 5-12 volt projector trigger which synchronizes to a projector s power cycle and is programmed to drop the 16:9 screen. In addition, the VMAX Dual comes in a black case with a pair of L brackets for a wall installation. It can also be installed flushed to the ceiling using the top built-in brackets located on the left and right side ends. A standard 3-prong power cord is included for plug and play. Section 2: Control System 2.1 Radio Frequency (RF) remote control The radio frequency remote control does not require line of sight and has a wider range of operation. The remote has three buttons to operate the VMAX Dual. U = Retracts screen / 2.35:1 = Drops the 2.35:1 screen / 16:9 = Drops the 16:9 screen 2.2 5-12 volt projector trigger cable The Radio Frequency remote works as a handheld remote control as well as providing a wireless signal to drop the VMAX Dual s 16:9 screen when synced with a projector s power cycle. The 3.5mm mono jack is connected to the radio frequency remote and the other end to the projector s trigger port. The 16:9 screen drops when the projector is turned on and raises it once it has been turned off. 2.3 Motor Specifications Synchronous motor Output Output Current Speed Output Voltage ower Frequency Noise Torque level 0.35mA 16 rpm 17kg/cm AC110V 38 Watts 60 Hz 46db E Insulation Class 1
