TENDER SUMMARY Tender Title: Tender Ref: Closing Date: OPEN TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF FIBER OPTIC CABLE 384 CORE LOOSE TUBE ( FOC 384C ) FOR TELEKOM MALAYSIA BERHAD ( TM ) LPM/2018/T/02/FOC 384C 23 February 2018 (Friday) 1. The purpose of this tender is to realise the aspiration of the LOBs and ultimately TM, it is deemed necessary to have a new high capacity fiber optic cable (FOC) deployed in the network. Currently the cable optic range between 4 cores, 8 cores, 12 cores, 24 cores, 32 cores, 48 cores, 96 cores, 144 cores and 192 cores of various configurations and specific usage characteristic such as underground, overhead and armoured. 2. In order to support the aspiration of 20,20,3,4,6 initiatives the new emerging 384 core FOC is seen as a variable solution to meet the new demands. This 384 core fiber will enable ND to provide broader expansion, fastere deployment with a lover overall cost in order to fulfil the targets set by the LOBs and ultimately realise the aspirations set forth by TM s top management. 3. This tender will support the delivery of high rise building fiberization, Wifi AP establishment, Mobile Unifi and TM Global Next Generation Backhaul (NGBH) in order to achieve of following: a) To increase of bandwidth and service offerings as well as bigger coverage areas. b) To reduce operational cost due to requirement for civil works and installation cost. 4. The scope of this tender are as follow:- a) Supply of FOC 384 core loose tube cable. b) Warranty period for twelve (12) months upon the signing of Delivery Order (DO). c) Training. 5. Tenderer is required to fully comply with the clauses marked as Critical (CRQ) Clause in the Technical Specifications failing which, the Tenderer shall be disqualified from the tender exercise and their tender submission shall be rejected. The list of CRQ clauses are as below: No. Clause No 1. B.3.2 The Fibre Optic Cable shall be of 384 core loose tube type with outside diameter less than 20 mm.
