1 About version 1.61 If updating from earlier than Ver1.60, update to Ver1.60 once, then update to Ver1.61 again. 1.1 New functions and changed functions 1.1.1 Modification of the URI dialing specification The operation specification related to URI dialing was modified as follows. Upper case and lower case are not distinguished. 1.1.2 Increase in the maximum number of characters in the Web page entry field The maximum number of characters that can be entered in the number entry field in the Home menu of the Web page was increased from 32 characters to 39 characters. 1.1.3 Modification of the input level from the USB audio device The audio level of the microphone of Yamaha YVC-1000 connected via USB and that of microphone PCS-A1 of this unit are made equivalent when the distance between the microphone and the speaker is 0.5 m to 4 m. The assumed use condition of PCS-A1 is as follows. Adaptive Voice Pickup and Sound is Wide and Clear Input Mode is Monaural and only 1 microphone is used 1.1.4 Increase in the maximum number of digits for a password The number of digits that can be entered for a password was increased to 39 digits. 1.2 Improved functions 1.2.1 Improvement of connectivity with OKI MCU Visual Nexus To improve the problem that audio is not output in the meeting with some versions of OKI MCU Visual Nexus ver5.x, it now supports the VNAUD service command. 1.2.2 Security enhancement Enhancement was made for some security measures. 1.3 Corrected problems 1.3.1 Pen tablet cannot be used wireless WACOM pen tablet CTL-490 does not work correctly when used wireless. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver.1.60] 1.3.2 Image may not be displayed when the PC connection method to DVI-I 2 (PC) is switched The image is not displayed when a PC image is input as a digital signal to the DVI-I2 (PC) IN terminal after an analog signal was input previously. This problem was corrected. It may take some time to actually display an image after switching to digital connection. [Problem from Ver.1.01] 1.3.3 The Microsoft PowerPoint image from the PC connected to DVI-I 2 (PC) may not be displayed The PC screen of the Microsoft PowerPoint input to the DVI-I 2 (PC) IN terminal may not be displayed correctly. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver.1.01] 1.3.4 It may not boot correctly when RGB-HDMI convertor is connected to DVI-I 2 (PC) It may not boot correctly when an RGB-HDMI convertor is connected to DVI-I 2 (PC). 1.3.5 Connection to the third remote point may not complete (only PCS-XG77) Connection may not complete when PCS-XG77 with HD MCU software PCSA-MCG106 installed and without HD upgrade software PCSA-RXG77 installed is used as the parent terminal, and made a call to connect to the third remote point (second connection). This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver.1.41] 1.3.6 Access to the Web page may not be possible when some symbols are used in a password Access to the Web page may not be possible if a password is entered when symbol "" (double quotation), $ (dollar sign), or ` (back quote) is used to register the Administrator Password, Phone Book Modification Password, Save Settings Password, or Remote Access Password. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver.1.01] 1.3.7 The DTMF transmission from the parent terminal is performed multiply during multi-point connection The DTMF transmission from the parent terminal is performed multiply during multi-point connection and the operation by DTMF is not executed correctly. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver.1.10] 1.3.8 It becomes full screen display even it is set to split screen display When attempting and cancelling to establish a cascade connection from the parent terminal, and then establishing multi-point connection that is not cascaded, it becomes full screen display even if it is set to split screen display. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver.1.10] 1.3.9 Presentation data cannot be sent when connected to Cisco products H.239 presentation data cannot be sent depending on the communication bit rate when connected to some Cisco products. 1.3.10 The AAC-LD audio codec is not employed when connected to Cisco products Communication with the MPEG4 AAC-LD audio codec is not possible when connected to some Cisco products. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver.1.01] 1.3.11 The message to the gatekeeper at the time of URI dialing is not correct The bandwidth setting for the ARQ (Admission Request) and BRQ (Bandwidth Request) messages issued to the gatekeeper at the time of URI dialing is not correct. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver.1.01] 1.3.12 Problem of inquiry to the DNS server at the time of URI dialing There was a problem in the method to inquire the DNS server at the time of URI dialing, and it could not acquire the correct IP address. 2 About version 1.60 Please be careful about uppercase and lowercase letters of the file name being used for update. 2.1 New functions 2.1.1 Addition of the Total Bandwidth (PCS-XG77 only) With PCS-XG77, 5Mbps can now be selected if the PCSA-MCG106 HD MCU Software and PCSA-RXG77 HD Upgrade Software are installed. 2.1.2 Addition of the Initialize Setup menu Initialize Setup is added to the Administrator setup menus. This can reset all settings to factory default settings. 2.1.3 Audio Input setting using the function button If Audio Input Select is assigned to a function button on the Remote Commander beforehand, the audio input setting can be switched using the function button during the conference. 2.1.4 Recording operation using the function button If Recording Execute/Stop is assigned to a function button on the Remote Commander beforehand, the Execute/Stop operation for recording can be performed during the conference. 2.1.5 Support for new annotation tablets The following LCD pen tablets are newly supported. WACOM DTH-2242 WACOM DTK-2241 2.2 Improved functions 2.2.1 Improvement in the echo suppression performance Echo that had been occurring when the position of the microphone or speaker(person) was changed is now reduced. It can be confirmed on the other end of the connected terminal. 2.2.2 Improvement of the audio volume when the audio input is set to stereo An improvement was made to the problem that the audio volume may be reduced Sony Corporation 12

when Input Mode in the Audio setup menu was set to Stereo. 2.2.3 Addition of Far/Near to function buttons F2 to F4 The switching function between Far/Near, which could be assigned only to the F1 button, can now be assigned to the F2 to F4 buttons. 2.3 Deleted functions 2.3.1 Deletion of the streaming function In response to the termination of QuickTime Windows version by Apple, the streaming function using QuickTime was deleted. 2.4 Corrected problems 2.4.1 A message incorrectly displayed while the DVI-I 2 (PC) video signal is detected A message saying "Local system does not support the resolution of the input DVI-I2 signal. Check the resolution of your computer." was incorrectly displayed regardless of the situation where the PC video signal input to the DVI-I 2 (PC) IN terminal was being detected. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver. 1.01] 2.4.2 Defective display on the 2nd monitor screen while dual monitor is used When using dual monitor, there were problems that the correct video was not displayed on the 2nd monitor screen as follows. Normally, the local camera image should be displayed on the 2nd monitor while no H.239 video is being sent. However, the PC image may be displayed if the cable connected to the DVI-I 2 (PC) IN terminal is disconnected and then connected. Normally, the transmitted H.239 video should be displayed on the 2nd monitor while the H.239 video is being transmitted. However, the local camera image may be displayed if the video signal input to the CAMERA terminal is switched. Normally, the received H.239 video should be displayed on the 2nd monitor while the H.239 video is being received. However, the local camera image or the local PC image may be displayed if the cable connected to the DVI-I 2 (PC) IN terminal is disconnected and then connected. [Problem from Ver. 1.01] Sony Corporation 13

2.4.3 Rebooting being repeated The unit repeatedly rebooted while the progress bar was displayed when the power was turned on. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver. 1.01] 2.4.4 H.239 video transmission time During the point-to-point connection or multipoint connection, it may take time for the H.239 video to be displayed when the following models send it. This problem was corrected. Applicable models: PCS-XG80/XA80/XG55/XA55/XL55/G60 [Problem from Ver. 1. 40.10] 2.4.5 The DVI-I 2 (PC) input video being overlapped on the monitor display video The PC image input to the DVI-I 2 (PC) IN may be displayed overlapped on the image displayed on the monitor screen gradually from the bottom of the screen, and eventually the unit may reboot. This problem was corrected. This phenomenon occurs when the refresh rate of the input PC video is set to 85Hz or 75Hz, and the resolution of the video is set to the one other than 16:9 aspect ratios. Also, this problem occurs either during a conference or not during a conference. [Problem from Ver. 1.01] 2.4.6 No terminal name being displayed on the 1st monitor while the H.239 video is being sent When dual monitor is used, the connected terminal names were not displayed on the 1st monitor while the H.239 video was being sent. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver. 1.01] 2.4.7 Remote camera control disabled during point-to-point connection after multipoint connection The remote camera control may be disabled if point-to-point connection was established after multipoint connection. This problem was corrected. [Problem from Ver. 1.10] Sony Corporation 14

3 About version 1.51.20 Please be careful about uppercase and lowercase letters of the file name being used for update. 3.1 Security improvement Some security measures are added. 3.1.1 Disable ssh login without password (Important) To enhance the security, ssh login without password for external control is disabled. Note 1: No password is set in the default setting. After this version or later software is installed, ssh login is not available in the default setting. When ssh connection is used for external control, please set password for ssh before this version or later software is installed. Note 2: By restoring to the default settings, password will be deleted. If this version or later software is installed and the setting is restored to the default, please set password for ssh again. There are no changes regarding web page access and telnet access for external control. 3.2 Corrected problems 3.2.1 Resume from standby issue of PCSA-CXG100 When PCSA-CXG100 is used, there was a problem that the camera was not recognized, it didn t output video image or its ptzf operation was not available. This problem has been corrected. [Problem from Ver1.50] [Corrected in Ver1.51.20] Sony Corporation 15

4 About version 1.50 If updating from earlier than Ver1.42, update to Ver1.42 once, then update to Ver1.50 again. 4.1 New functions 4.1.1 USB audio device A USB audio device (speaker/microphone) can be connected to the USB port. However, there is currently no commercially available USB audio device that the operation performance quality is guaranteed. Caution: The echo canceller function of this device is disabled when a USB audio device is connected. 4.1.2 Denial of incoming call from unidentified IP A setting for Reject unknown call is added to the Answer setting menu. The call from the remote terminal not in the phone book or the private phone book will be denied without displaying the confirmation dialog when this is set to On. The shared phone book is not searched. The default is Off. Denied terminal can be confirmed in Unknown Call of the History menu. 4.1.3 Displaying of frame indicating the audio detection point for multi-point connection A setting for Voice Activation Frame is added to the Multipoint setting menu. An orange frame is displayed around the video where the audio is detected when this is On. The default is On. 4.1.4 Addition of the address book A selection of add or replace is added when Load Phone Book in the Service menu is performed. The previous phone book is erased when replacement is selected. The new phone book is added to the previous phone book when addition is selected. However, the maximum entry of the phone book is 1000, so it cannot be added exceeding that. 4.1.5 Connection of the terminals both under NAT The terminals both under NAT could not be connected properly when the NAT function was enabled. It is now possible to connect the terminals both under NAT Sony Corporation 16

by automatically disabling the NAT function with this version. However, it is necessary for the remote terminal to support this function. 4.1.6 Support of new annotation tablets The following tablets are now supported. WACOM CTH-490 WACOM CTL-490 4.1.7 Support of AAC-LD The audio codec AAC-LD is now supported. Specification: Selected only when connected to a specific third party with H.323. It is automatically selected when MPEG4 is enabled as the audio format, and AAC-LC and AAC-LD cannot be individually selected. AAC-LC and AAC-LD are not displayed separately in the Communication Mode Status screen. It is not selected when MCU mode is activated. 4.1.8 Support of H.263 for camera video channel with H.320 H.263 is added on the camera video channel codec mode for H.320 connection. Caution: H.263 is not enabled for H.320 even if the version is updated from the previous version. Place a checkmark in H.263 in the video mode in the communication mode menu to enable. 4.1.9 Support of LETTER service command The LETTER service command is now supported. The whole image of the 16:9 video without any cropping is sent to the remote terminal that can only receive the H.264 CIF size by reducing the video to the 4:3 video size when this is in the service command. The sides of the 16:9 video is cropped and sent as 4:3 video when this is not in the service command. To enable this command, system restart is required after entering the service command. 4.2 Improved functions Sony Corporation 17

4.2.1 Saving the screen layout It is changed to operate in the previous screen layout when the device is restored after choosing Standby with the remote controller, or when restarted after choosing Power Off with the remote controller.
