Auditorium and Seating Capacity Seating option A The seating capacity for the venue is 120, which includes 117 seats and 3 wheelchair accessible positions. The seating positions are as follows: 91 seat on the retractable rake (across two building levels) 15 seats are available in the balcony wings 11 seats act as the removable front row Seating option B The seating capacity for the venue is 68, which includes 65 seats and 3 wheelchair accessible positions. 39 seats on the retractable rake (ground floor access only) 15 seats are available in the balcony wings (second floor access only) 11 seats act as the removable front row The front row of seating can be removed to accommodate a larger performance area. The raked seating is fully retractable to provide a much larger space for rehearsals or standing events. Please inform the theatre at the earliest opportunity of your seating requirements. 4 audience entrance / exit doors. Two on the ground level and two on the balcony level. 4 of 13

Access Get in is via the workshop at the front of the building. As this door is located on the Bailey Allen Plaza vehicular access must be arranged in advance with the Venue Manager and the campus security office. Unscheduled vehicle arrivals can not be accommodated. Stage Specifications The stage surface is made up of 6mm plywood over two layers of OSB board and painted black. It is not sprung. You may not affix to the floor with screws. Each is fitted with 9 of CEE-Form 16amp outlet which can be individually set to dimmed or constant power. There is also a 5 pin dmx output mounted on the stage right end of each bar. These bars are suspended from 3 of LTM Loadguard Mini. Maximum UDL (Universally Distributed Load) per bar is 250kg. A maximum loading of 27.7kg per meter is allowed. There are no other flying points in the venue. 5 of 13

Fixed Booms There are two fixed booms in place, one DSL and one DSR. These are 3m above the stage surface and 1m in length with 3 of 16amp CEE-Form outlets on each. Sound Control Yamaha QL1 digital console QLab Our QLab system consists of a mac mini 2.7ghz i5 with 120gb internal Solid State Drive and 4gb RAM. The system is currently running QLab 3 only. Audio output is by means of a Focusrite Clarett 8 Pre, which is a Thunderbolt audio interface.there is a 21 HDMI monitor for system control. Please note our Mac Mini is kept in the AV rack which is fixed at the control position. It is not possible to move this. This area is not separated from the main auditorium and therefore provides a clear listening point for the engineer. Backstage may be accessed without crossing the stage. Cue Lights The venue carries a four channel GDS Cue Light console with four portable outstations. There are four designated Cue LX tie in positions spread throughout the backstage area and entrance doors. See plans for further info. Comms The venue is equipped with one talk back circuit and one show relay circuit. Talkback tie in positions are spread throughout the backstage area. See plans for further info. Prompt desk Hearing Assistance Wifi Wireless internet access is only by means of an NUIG guest account. Appropriate log in details will be given to companies onsite. Backstage Facilities There are two back stage dressing rooms with a capacity of housing 12 performers each. A dividing wall may be removed to turn this into one large dressing room for 24 performers. There are two bathrooms adjoining these dressing rooms which have toilet, sink and shower facilities. Both the toilets and backstage areas are completely accessible to wheelchair users. In the green room there is a fridge, microwave, basic delph supply and some cupboards for storage. Rehearsal Spaces The O Donoghue Centre houses three dedicated rehearsal and teaching spaces in addition to one class room.
