Datasheet MV-8 Series & MV-Flex Multiviewers Integrated and Standalone Options for Every Operation Grass Valley s multiviewer technology gives broadcasters the flexibility to work the way they want to work today, yet future-proof their operations for tomorrow. Multiviewers traditionally are used to monitor outputs and source material within a broadcast environment with some models offering extra monitoring features. However, as technology evolves so does the requirements for media organizations. Multiviewers from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, are not just about monitoring outputs; our advanced technology enables the multiviewer range to perform: Integrated control and monitoring, providing unique system workflow views Intelligent monitoring by exception using Grass Valley s Orbit and Media Biometrics technology Support for IP, SDI and hybrid environments 4K UHD input/output support Simple configuration providing greater flexibility Grass Valley offers a comprehensive range of MV-Flex standalone and MV-8 series standalone, router integrated and IP multiv iewers to meet any, size of operation or architecture, whether that s in a traditional SDI, IP or hybrid environment. Intelligent monitoring by exception using Media Biometrics and RollCall The integrated advanced control and monitoring technology within Grass Valley s MV-8 series and MV-Flex multiviewers gives users complete confidence in their broadcast. By adopting Media Biometric technology within the multiviewer, all media assets can be assigned unique signatures which automatically identifies and verifies anything out of the norm and reports via RollCall making for a streamlined and more efficient workflow. Support for IP, SDI and hybrid environments The multiviewer family fully supports independent environments where standards are the same throughout the broadcast workflow. However, in a mixed environment such as SDI and IP, the multiviewer family can service any sources incoming and outputting the multiviewers making a hybrid solution possible and significantly effortless. This makes for easier interfacing with other equipment such as routers and switchers stress-free. Simple configuration provides greater flexibility By designing a configurator tool within the MV-8 Series and MV-Flex multiviewer family to be simple to use, you have the flexibility to work quickly in dynamic environments. Being able to repurpose the multiviewer for different s gives greater flexibility for operators enabling them to meet the needs of technical directors and concentrate on more problematic areas. 4K UHD input/output support 4K UHD broadcasting is proving a value-added requirement and image quality is absolutely necessary in this environment. Media organizations are having to create more compelling content and deliver more immersive viewing experiences experience you should monitor at their best. www.grassvalley.com 1
