Title Page Make sure you include your first and last name, written neatly and LARGE Make it your own be CREATIVE! Here is Mine.
The first page you create is a title page (like a book). You decide the title for your notebook.
Once you have the cover page completed you will turn to the back page of your notebook. You will start by punching a hole in the middle of the bottom as shown in picture. Then take two hole punch protectors and stick them on both sides of the hole.
Once the hole protectors are on then you will take the rubber band you received from Mrs Woodworth and place one end thru the hole. Then you will take the other end and place it threw the end that you put thru the hole see picture. Now you have a strap to hold your notebook together.
Flip Out Science Reference Charts On the inside of the back cover of your spiral, glue the T4 in science page. Make sure ALL of the bullets stick up above the spiral so that when the notebook is closed, you will still be able to see everything.
Next, glue the Lab responsibilities page on top of the formulas page. Again, make sure the entire Group/Labresponsibilities hangs out of the spiral.
So that everything shows when your spiral is closed!
With both Reference Charts still hanging out of the spiral, glue your envelope pocket on the back cover as well. This pocket will be used to hold various things in your spiral, such as flashcards, small items that you need to keep track of, works in progress, etc
On top of the storage envelope pocket, you will glue your completed compas partners. DO NOT GLUE IT IN UNTIL IT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY FILLED OUT.
fold h Notice you might have to fold it again near the binding so it will fit. ere Fold the Lab responsibilities into the spiral. Fold here
Fold Here Fold the T4 in Science page down over the Group/Lab Responsibilities.
Now you will go to the front cover of your notebook. Here is where you will make a pocket to store the pencil I am giving you so that you can be successful in science. This pencil is not allowed to leave class.
The next 5 pages are reserved (after the title page) for a Table of Contents (like a book) Write a title for each page as you create it in the notebook. Make sure you write it on the line that corresponds with the correct page number. This helps you find an entry fast when you need it.
The first Table of Contents Page (# s 1-33) is glued on the LEFT side, behind your Title Page. The second Table of Contents page (# s 34-67) goes on the RIGHT side.
LEFT and RIGHT Pages Glue the third Table of Contents page on the LEFT SIDE Glue the fourth Table of Contents page on the RIGHT SIDE
LEFT Glue the fifth Table of Contents page on the LEFT SIDE
Turn the page and glue the fourth Table of Contents page on the LEFT SIDE. LEFT pages = EVEN RIGHT pages = ODD
No RIPPED OUT pages or torn corners No DOODLING that doesn t relate to science Notebook should only be used for SCIENCE CLASS ONLY DATE and NUMBER each page (as we use it) All entries must go into the Table of Contents BE COLORFUL & LOVE YOUR NOTEBOOK
