Purchase this project at: www.junipersquare.com The Gaither Vocal Band is obviously one of the top groups in Southern Gospel Music. Whenever this group comes out with a new release, production around here stops until we all hear it! Personally, I have followed the group since their inception and I have most of their projects from years gone by. Their latest project is another good one in a long line of high quality projects. One thing I love about the Gaither Vocal Band is that they are never afraid to sing an old song! This project starts out with an old Imperials song titled "I'm Forgiven." I loved hearing this song again and I enjoy this version. Keeping the older songs going they sing "Build An Ark" next. This song was written in the late 1970's and a lot of quartets have sung it over the years. The Gaither Vocal 2 / 5
Band version is certainly one of the best I've heard. "Jesus And John Wayne" is the next song. I know, I did a double take when I read that title too! The song is actually a neat one and you will enjoy hearing the story about someone growing up who was somewhere between Jesus and John Wayne. One of my favorite Gaither songs is "Go Ask." That song is next and I love this version and love the message even more. "Home Of Your Dreams" is a beautiful melody that you will enjoy. "Search Me Lord" picks up the pace as the Gaither Vocal Band sings this great Thomas Dorsey song. That song is from the 1040's and it is followed by a much newer one. The next song is from the 1960's and was written by Henry Slaughter. It is titled "Lonely Mile" and it's another beautiful melody that showcases the Gaither Vocal Band's harmonizing ability. A true new song is next and the guys sing "There's Always A Place At The Table." It reminds us that there is always room at God's Table for anyone. The next song is titled "The Diff'rence Is In Me." The credits on the song say it was written by Bill and Gloria Gaither in 1982 but I do not 3 / 5
recall the song. However, I love the song! It reminds us just exactly how things around us can seem much different when God makes a difference in us! The title song to the project is next. "I'm Loving Life" is an upbeat song and suggests that once we are forgiven we will be loving life! I would agree with that and I enjoy the song. "When I Cry" is an awesome song that reminds us that God knows when we are hurting and He hurts right along with us. "Prisoner Of Hope" is a very unique song about the Hope we have in Christ Jesus. The message of the song is great and the Gaither Vocal Band does a great job singing the song. The final song on the project is "Then He Bowed His Head And Died." This slow melody is another beautiful song that will bless you. 4 / 5
I imagine that there is little I could say about the Gaither Vocal Band that hasn't already been said. I believe that they are the smoothest vocal group I have ever heard. They have a polished and professional sound throughout this entire project. Of course, Bill Gaither knows a little something about producing quality music and he has done it again! My favorite songs from this project are "The Diff'rence Is In Me," "Go Ask" and "I'm Loving Life." The entire project is excellent and I see no reason why you wouldn't want to add it to your Gospel Music CD collection. For more information visit www.gaithermusic. com. 5 / 5
