25th Anniversary Season Friends of Cathedral Music 2018-2019 www.fcmabq.org

25 Th Anniversary For centuries cathedrals have been at the center of music and the arts. They ve also been gathering spaces and marketplaces for communities across Europe. The Cathedral of St. John, Albuquerque, NM, finds inspiration in that tradition. There s a commitment to the arts here. And this 25th season of music performances is one way we live into that commitment. The Friends of Cathedral Music have long supported the ministry of music in this beautiful place. Many of those who ve experienced the beauty of song and instrument here leave changed. Music touches the spirit like nothing else. Just Google Music Makes and the number of search choices is staggering. One option is music makes the heart sing. Admittedly some of the options there are eclectic but it points to a commonly shared reality. Music really does make the heart sing. We hope that you will feel the Spirit move you in ways you do not expect when you come into the Cathedral. This is a place where each Sunday and at all of our special performances, music truly does make the heart sing. In gratitude, The Rev. Dan Webster Interim Dean Canon Dr. Maxine Thevenot Director of Cathedral Music & Organist
