CAIRNS STATE HIGH SCHOOL P & C FACILITIES MANAGEMENT HIRE FEE S & INFORMATION AS AT 1 ST January 2017 REFUNDABLE BOND FOR ALL HIRE IS $ 500 MINIMUM $ 1000 MAXIMUM BOND Note : ALL PRICES DO NOT HAVE GST INCLUDED AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE CROSSWELL HALL HIRE CHARGES Crosswell Hall seats 600 people in air-conditioned comfort, has a ticket office, cloakroom, and a food servery with a bain-marie, commercial dishwasher, two microwaves, urn, fridge, freezer and ample service area. There is adequate parking and plenty of outdoor covered areas adjoining. Please Note: If the Hall/ Servery Equipment/ Toilets are not left in a clean and tidy state, or if rubbish is put in the clearly marked paper recycle skip, a cleaning fee of $25 per person per hour, will be charged and deducted from the bond. NB: Senior tech. students operate sound and or lighting at $20 per student per hour (min. $40) paid direct to student on the day by hirer. A Technical teacher also has to be present to manage the students, and is paid an honorarium $30.00 per hour (min. 2 hours). Usually 2 students are used for professionalism but hirer can save money if they have one student to operate both sound and lights, not as professional. Hirer to decide technical equipment requirements early so you can plan with Performing Arts. Other equipment is available at a negotiated price, please ask. Lighting charges will only apply after: 6pm onwards - Winter rate commences 1st May and finishes 31st October 7pm onwards - Summer rate commences 1st November and finishes 30th April Regular Weekly Usage - Profit/Non Profit - $25 per hr. IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE: POOL HIRE FOR ALL POOL HIRE, THE HIRER NEEDS TO ENSURE THEY HAVE ON GUARD AT ALL TIMES OF POOL HIRE A POOL LIFE GUARD WITH THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION OF FULLY CERTIFIED POOL LIFE GUARD A CERTIFIED SURF LIFEGUARD IS A HIGHER QUALIFICATION & THEREFORE DOES NOT NEED TO SHOW THE LESSER QUALIFICATION OF POOL LIFE GUARD COUNCIL LEGISLATION/RECOMMENDATION & PROTECTS NOT ONLY THE SWIMMERS BUT RISK OF INSURANCE LOSS. LIFE GUARD CERTIFICATION FULL NAME - PHOTOCOPY OF CURRENT CERTIFICATE AND DATE ACHIEVED & EXPIRY DATE (EFFECTIVE UNTIL) OVAL HIRE The oval or sports facilities such as long jump pit, outdoor court area, playing field may be hired if the school is not holding after school activities. HIRE CHARGES Regular Weekly Usage (price per hour) Commercial - $20 Non Profit - $15 Irregular One off use (price per hour) Commercial - $30 Non Profit - $25 (with a minimum daily hire rate of 2 hours) CANTEEN CATERING OUTSIDE HOURS The Cairns High Canteen will cater for Facility hirers at after school events under the following conditions 1. THAT THE EVENT CATERING IS OFFERED TO THE CANTEEN MANAGER, WHO ALONE WILL DECIDE WHETHER THE CANTEEN WILL BE AVAILABLE TO OPEN AFTER HOURS TO CATER FOR EVENTS THAT THE CANTEEN MANAGER DECIDES WILL BE WORTHWHILE. 2. THE CANTEEN MANAGER WILL LIAISE WITH THE HIRER TO FINALISE CATERING REQUIREMENTS. 3. THE HIRER IS ADVISED THAT THE CANTEEN WILL BE THE SOLE PROVIDER OF FOOD AND DRINKS (UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE CONCERNING DRINKS) AND THE AGREEMENT WILL BE ALTERED TO REFLECT THAT CONDITION. SECURITY KEY REGISTRY & SECURITY CODE POLICY FOR HIRERS: 1. By signing the key register you have read & understood these conditions 2. Keys are not to be copied. The Security code you are issued is to be kept exclusively for the hirer & not given to others. 3. The key or security code is not to be used by any person other than the person the key or code is issued to. You always retain full responsibility for the key & security of the premises. 4. You must report the loss of the key directly to the P&C Office 40503021 as soon as possible 5. The key holder accepts the liability for the loss of the key & forfeits their right to refund of bond. 6. The key holder is the last person to leave a facility & is to take responsibility for the security of that facility which includes ensuring that the alarm system is set correctly. Failure will ensure loss of full bond. 7. The Key is not to be left lying around or un-attended. The code is to be kept secret. 8. The key is not to be issued to or left with a student. 9. The key is not to be marked or identified in any way that it is a CSHS key. 10. If keys are lost or security breached due to non-compliance of these conditions hirer is liable for key replacement & re-keying the area/s it covers, should a bond not be held. TECHNICAL SUPPORT Should a hirer require lighting, sound and/or technical equipment for an approved corporate event, it is compulsory to hire a technical crew and supervisor from the school at $20.00 per hour (crew) (minimum $40 per event); and $30.00 per hour (supervisor) (minimum 2 hours). TECHNICAL SUPPORT BOOKING SHEET Please complete this form and return/email to the Technical Theatre teacher, Sarah Daggett [sdagg3@eq.edu.au] at least one week prior to your booked event. Note: Hall set-up and access during school time is booked through the janitor (for chairs) and deputy principal. All bookings after school hours, must be made through the P&C Liaison Officer phone 40503021. (pandc@cairnsshs.eq.edu.au). All DVDs, CDs etc. should be checked for compatibility the day PRIOR to event, not 5 mins before! Also, please note YOU, AS THE ORGANISER, are responsible for returning any props/ furniture /costumes etc. to the appropriate areas in a timely fashion, and NOT the technical theatre students.
