Maximum number of bookmarks to keep Enter the number of bookmarks the player should keep track of. Bookmarks expire after this many days Enter the number of days to keep bookmarks.

To open the Audio settings page Click the setup button in the DVD control panel, then click the Audio tab. Multi-channel Audio Options Decode and down-mix to 2 channels The audio decoder "passes-through" non-pcm multichannel audio or 2-channel audio as LPCM (normal). For correct operation, you should specify the audio device you want to use. If only one audio device reports support for non-pcm audio, the audio device selection is greyed-out and displays the only choice. If no audio devices report support for non-pcm audio, only the Decode and down-mix to 2 channels selection is available. Dolby Options Stereo Play audio in 2-channel stereo. This option sets the default aspect ratio for all DVD content using ATI DVD Player. Fullscreen The movie fills the entire screen, regardless of desktop or movie resolution. Letterbox Shows a 16:9 movie on a desktop with 4:3 aspect ratio. Black bars appear at the top and bottom of the screen to fill the remaining space. 4:3 Shows a 4:3 movie on a desktop with 16:9 aspect ratio. Black bars appear down either side of the screen to fill the remaining space. Known DVD's By clicking the Add button while a DVD disk is inserted, you can add this disk to a list and set a custom aspect ratio for this title only. Click on the Aspect Ratio column beside the desired title entry in the list to select an aspect ratio from the pull-down menu. In the future, and only if possible, DVD Player will play this title at the aspect ratio you have selected. Select a title from the list and click Remove to remove it from the list.

DVD and Video CD playback cannot be scheduled using current versions of ATI Multimedia Center.

New Features in ATI Multimedia Center 7.6 14 Glossary Dolby ProLogic The Dolby ProLogic decoder library supports decoding of surround audio using the Dolby ProLogic standard. Dolby ProLogic Surround is an audio coding technique that enables the transmission and storage of multichannel audio in a stereo-compatible way. This is achieved by a mix of four channels into two at the encoder side. As a result, the ProLogic encoded audio can be listened to whether a ProLogic decoder is present or not. This is not the case for digitally compressed audio like MPEG or AC-3 (Dolby Digital). In such cases a decoder is required for listening to the audio. Gamma Adjusts the color brightness of the display. The higher the Gamma, the higher the brightness and contrast, with maximum being a flat (unmodified) setting. PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) Each signal sample is interpreted as a pulse (e.g., a voltage or current pulse) at a particular amplitude which is binary encoded, typically in two's complement binary fixed-point format.
