Husband 1: It was horrible. The electricity was shut off because I didn t pay the bill. I had to take my wife out for dinner, we had to walk home which took an hour and when we got home, I remembered we didn t have electricity so I had to light candles. This month s Client of the Month is Todd & Louise Strait Zippy Summer Shrimp Ingredients 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil 3 cloves garlic, sliced 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes 2 teaspoons paprika 2 pounds shell-off, deveined jumbo shrimp 1/4 cup lemon juice 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Directions Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat; cook and stir the garlic in the oil until translucent. Sprinkle the red pepper flakes and paprika into the oil. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Pour the lemon juice over the shrimp; allow to cook until the shrimp are bright pink on the outside and the meat is no longer transparent in the center, 1 to 2 minutes more. Reduce heat to medium-low; add the basil and toss lightly. Season with salt and pepper to serve. Serve over pasta or rice with warm crusty bread and a fresh garden salad. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the world s largest spectator sporting facility. It holds 250,000 permanent seats. 2. It s been said that Yankee Stadium, the Rose Bowl, Churchill Downs, The Coliseum in Rome and Vatican City can all fit inside the Indy oval (over 253 acres). 3. The winner is awarded the sterling silver Borg-Warner Trophy. Commissioned in 1935 at a cost of $10,000...it is now valued over $1 million today. 4. The first Indy 500 was won by Ray Harroun on May 30, 1911. 5. Indy 500 was originally called the International Sweepstakes. 6. The race is 200 laps over a 2.5 mile circuit. 7. Since 1946, a pre-race tradition includes signing Back Home Again in Indiana. In 1972, Jim Nabors (aka Gomer Pyle ) was a guest who was asked moments prior to the opening ceremonies to sing. Nabors had no rehearsal and wrote the lyrics on his hand. He ended up performing the song 32 times since.
