Production is conducted at ETK Cable facility using advanced technology and management techniques. All stages of our superior technology product manufacturing processes, from raw material input to delivery, are carried out with quality-control equipment and 170 specialized, employees. ETK cable s mission is to satisfy its customers communication needs in a fast, reliable way, and with the highest possible quality without compromising. ETK Cable, which has a current annual production capacity of 30,000 kilometer of fiber optic cable and approximately 3.000.000 kilometer of copper cable, is a sector pioneer for on-time delivery, flawless, and minimum waste. In this context, ETK Cable has built a unique reputation and mission for itself, not only in Turkey, but also in global cable manufacturers, it puts itself among the rare establishments which is able to export 65% of its production to more than 60 countries from 5 continents in global markets. Production Stages; The copper is One of the most important raw materials for communication cables. Copper is supplied to our facility with a thickness of 8 mm is thinned to the desired diameter in our facility. Insulation which is made in our tandem-operated foam-skin insulation lines is also put through a series of control during production period. After all these checks, it is twisted in the SZ system either Quad or Twisted pair. Sub-groups, which are manufactured according to the conformity of the specifications, are packaged, with a second SZ twist or in the drum twister depending on the cable type or large pair quantities. The jelly-filling procedure during the grouping or packaging stages is conducted with a central jelly-filling unit like worldwide similar applications. After all these processes, groups and packages are transferred to the sheathing lines, which is the final production step. On these lines, they are covered with polyethylene which is manufactured by the world s most reputable manufacturers of polyethylene. At ETK Cable, fiber optic production is carried out complying with international standards in fully-climatized conditions, using the most advanced technologies. All raw materials which are supplied from the world s leading firms are put through a meticulous testing process in our quality control laboratories before using in production. Fiber cores that are tested for conformity are dyed according to the colors determined in the core coloring unit. 2

Later on, LOOSE TUBES are manufactured up to 24 cores, and tight buffers are manufactured up to 12 cores in a single-stage, in high-speed fiber optic line. After the quality- Control processes, these tubes are combined by making twists in the SZ system, which is capable of manufacturing 144 fiber cores. These twisted fiber cores are filled with jelly according to the features of their specifications, whereby they are coated with specific proportion of aramid yarn or Glass Yarn in order to provide the strength of cable. Fiber cores which are wrapped with corrugated steel tape, polyester, or swellable tape according to the cable design are, then coated with polyethylene supplied from the world s leading polyethylene producers. Finally, the finished fiber optic cables product arrives to our laboratories where, quality controls are carried out using the most advanced equipment by specialized personnel who possess international knowledge and experience.
