You may customize the connections to suit your individual preferences. Alternate Cable Options Some hookup scenarios are offered with alternate cable-type options. If your hookup can be connected the same way with two different types of cables, for example composite video or S- Video, a table will be provided with the complete list of cables needed for each type of hookup. You will not need all the cables in the table, just the cables from the list that corresponds with the type of hookup you want. You may also choose to use a combination of the cables, rather than one type throughout. Common connection labels The hookup instructions are written using generic names for connection jacks. The labels on your equipment may vary.
