RBT25xS1 complies with OC-3 / STM-1 to OC-48 / STM- 16 standards, Gigabit Ethernet as specified in IEEE 802.3ah, and Fiber Channel FC-PI 13.0. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the 2-wire serial bus specified in the SFF-8472 rev.10.4. The transmitter features ac-coupled differential data inputs, and an LVTTL for Tx disable input and Tx fault output. Circuit ground is internally isolated from frame ground. Tx GND and Rx GND may be internally isolated within the TRx module. 2. Tx Fault is an open collector output that shall be pulled up with a 4.7kΩ ~ 10kΩ on the host board. Pull up voltage between 2.0V and VccT + 0.3V. When high, output indicates a laser fault of some kind. When low, output indicates normal operation. The LD output is not turned off in case of Tx Fault 3. Tx Disable is an input that is used to shut down the transmitter optical output. It is pulled up within the TRx with a 4.7kΩ ~ 10kΩ. 4. MOD-DEF 0, 1, 2 are the SFP module definition pins. They should be pulled up with a 4.7kΩ ~ 10kΩ on the host board. The pull-up voltage shall be VccT. MOD-DEF0 indicates that the module is present. MOD-DEF1 is the clock line of 2-wire serial interface for serial ID MOD-DEF2 is the data line of 2-wire serial interface for serial ID 5. OE Solutions RBT25xS1 SFP transceivers operate at SONET /SDH data rates, 1x Fiber Channel, Gigabit Ethernet and Fast Ethernet data rates, and respective protocols without active control. 6. LOS is an open collector output. Shall be pulled up with a 4.7kΩ ~ 10kΩ on host board. Pull up voltage between 2.0 and VccR+0.3. Logic 0 indicates normal operation. 4
