Page 8 REDING Grade 3 - English The lumsy aterpillar 1 2 3 There was once a clumsy caterpillar who had a hurt leg. He was always bumping into rocks and leaves. His friend Ladybug told him to expect a miracle in the spring, but aterpillar didn t believe her. Suddenly, he noticed that a coat was forming around his long body. Ladybug told him it was a cocoon. One winter day, aterpillar found himself all covered up and cozy. The wind was blowing hard, but he stayed warm. Then, he went to sleep. When it was time to wake up, aterpillar saw that many new colors and smells surrounded him. It was spring! The best part was when he noticed that he had grown wings and could fly.
