Understandina What the Liahts Mean The ights on your teephone indicate the status of ines, features, and intercom. -Next to a Direct Station Seect (DSS)/ Busy Lamp Fied (BLF) button: Steady red = station is in use, or in Do Not Disturb. Fashing red = station is receiving a ca or station is caing you. Futtering red = station-to-station messaging has been set. -Next to a ine button: Steady green = ine is in use at your station. Steady red = ine is in use at another station. Fashing red = your ine is ringing. Fashing orange = your ine is ringing and wi be answered when you take your teephone off hook. Winking green = ine is on hod at your station. Winking red = ine is on hod at another station Futtering green = ine has recaed from hod at your station. Futtering red = ine has recaed from hod at another station. -Next to a fixed feature or programmabe feature button: Steady red = the feature is on. Steady off = the feature is off. -Next to an INTERCOM button: Steady red with a quick fash = you are using your intercom. Futtering red = auto redia is in use, or system is in Night Mode (at station 10). Winking red = an LCD message is set on your teephone for others to receive when caing. Using the Speakerphone. Your teephone is a speakerphone, and you can use it for any operation in which you might use the handset. To use the! speakerphone, press the ITCM or the ine button instead of (j ifting the handset. You cannot use the speaker to receive a SOHVA or to originate paging. Answering Cas To answer a ca that is ringing at your teephone, 1. if the ight is fashing orange, ift handset; 2. if the ight is red, press the fashing ine and ift handset. To answer a ca using the speakerphone, press fashing ine or ITCM button. To answer a ca that is ringing at any. teephone, 1. ift handset, 2. press ITCM and dia X 4 pus extension number of ringing teephone. To answer a ca that is ringing at a particuar teephone in your group, 1. hear ringing 2. ift handset, 3. press ITCM and dia #4 (ringing station must be programmed in your ca pickup group). cica7u-784 urge 1 ecn ararron users Liume Answering Subdued-Off Hook Voice Announcements (SOHVA) Cas NOTE: Your teephone may bearranged to receive a subdued off-hook voice announcement (SOHVA). If it is, an intercom caer may break into your outside ca and deiver a message to your teephone receiver for you to hear. It works as foows: whie off-hook on an outside ca, hear severa quick tone bursts foowed by an announcement deivered to your ear through the handset. To respond verbay, 1. Press and hod MUTE, 2. speak into handset. To respond non-verbay, 1. press MSG, 2. press HVLD (have hod), TKMSG (Take Message), or CLBK (Ca Back) depending upon which message you want to eave. NOTE: Announcing station must have LCD speakerphone.. To Bock SOHVA, NOTE: You may bock SOHVA ony ifvour teephone is programmed for you to do so. press BLOCK when SOHVA is initiated. After this SRA tone, you have ten (10) seconds to dia digits; otherwise, the teephone automaticay returns to its ide state. Furthermore, you ony have three seconds pause time between digits before the system automaticay dias your ca. To make a ca, 1. ift handset, seect ine (uness your teephone seects it for you), or seect intercom, and isten for dia tone, 2. either dia number, or press HOLD then, press autodia, use speed dia feature, use redia feature, or press Direct Station Seect (DSS) if making an intercom ca. To dia autodia number, 1. press preprogrammed button. If button is programmed at the second eve of a DSS button, press HOLD before pressing autodia button, 2. when caed party answers, ift handset. Hoding Cas To pace a ca on hod, 1. press HOLD, 2. hang up handset. To return to ca that is on hod, ift handset and press ine button with fashing green ight. To pace a ca on excusive hod, press HOLD twice and hang up handset. To pace a ca on hod at another teephone, 1. whie on ine, press ITCM (system paces ca on hod), 2. dia % 90, then dia extension number of teephone to receive hed ca, 3. hang up handset. To answer a ca at the extension receiving hed ca, 1. ift handset, 2. press ITCM and dia # 90. To cance directed ca f- v and retrieve the ca, e 1. ift handset, 2. press ITCM, dia % 4, then dia the extension number of the teephone to which you directed the ca, 3. retrieve the ca. 14-DigiTech Station User s Guide

To answer a ca that someone paced on hod at your teephone, 1. ift handset, 2. press ITCM, and dia # 90. To park a ca, 1. press ITCM, 2. dia X, then dia park orbit access code (91-99) (if chosen orbit is busy, dia aternative orbit number), 3. hang up handset, 4. use paging feature to announce ca and park orbit access code if necessary. NOTE: If ca is not retrieved within a programmabe time imit, it reverts to the parking station as a standard hed ca, and ony one ca can be paced in an orbit at a time. To retrieve parked ca, 1. hear announcement, 2. ift handset, 3. press ITCM and dia #, 4. dia park orbit access code (91199), 5. answer ca. Transferring Outside Cas To announce a ca before transferring it, 1. answer outside ca, 2. press TRANSKONF (ca is paced on hod), 3. dia station number, 4. upon answer, announce the ca, 5. hang up the handset (ca is transferred). To transfer a ca without first announcing it, 1. answer outside ca, 2. press TRANSKONF (ca is paced on hod), 3. dia station number, 4. hang up handset. D/g/Tech Stat/on U8eWs Qude CWA7Vb784 If you hear a busy signa or receive no answer, 1. press RECON to return to ca, 2. press SOWA to te intercom party that a ca awaits 3. press CAMP to camp on at that station, 4. press OVER to join intercom party s current conversation. Conferencing Stations Together To conference any combination of inside stations and outside ines, NOTE: 1. make first ca and press TRANSKONF, 2. make next ca and press TRANSKONF to estabish conference, 3. repeat steps to add up to two more parties. When setting up a conference ca with outside ines and inside stations, you must ca the outside ines first. Use the ine group access codes to pace the outside ines in your conference. To drop outside ines from the conference, 1. first press HOLD to pace a cas on hod (not doing this wi resut in a tone burst interrupting the remaining conferees), 2. once a cas are on hod, press the ine that you wish to bring back foowed by TRANSKONF; this wi retrieve ony that ine to the conference, 3. use step two to bring back each ine from hod. 16-DigiTech Station User s Guide

Using the Messaging Feature NOTE: You can set system suppied messages to be dispayed at the caing LCD speakerphone. To turn LCD messaging on, 1. press ITCM, 2. dia +# 02, 3. dia message code number (O-9) 4. press SPKR. To turn off LCD messaging, 1. press ITCM, 2. dia # 2. To retrieve a message, 1. observe fashing message-waiting ight, (HOLD ight) 2. ift handset, 3. press ITCM, then press HOLD; connection to message desk is automatic. To activate station-to-station messaging (station must have BLF appearance at caed station), 1. make intercom ca and hear ring-back tone, 2. dia S 7; your station s BLF ight turns on at caed station, 3. hang up handset.. To cance station-to-station messaging, 1. press ITCM and dia # 7, 2. dia extension number of station where you eft the ca-back indication, 3. press SPKR, Using the Reca/Fash Feature If your system has been configured for fash, press TAP to generate a timed fash signa whie on ine. D/g/Tech Stat/on User s Gucte GCA76784 Making a Paging Announcement To page through an externa paging ampifier (if your system provides this feature), 1. ift handset, 2. press paging ine seect button and dia page access code (see your attendant for code)-if paging is connected to a dedicated paging port, dia ITCM 89, 3. make announcement. To page through system teephones (a-ca and zone paging), 1. ift handset, 2. press ITCM and dia a-ca or zone number: 84,85, or 86 = zones 1,2, or 3 87 = a-ca, 3. make announcement. 4. hang up handset or wait for an answer. To answer teephone paging from any station, 1. ift handset, 2. press ITCM, dia 88, and meet paging party on ine. To enabe the Tracker pager at your station, 1, press ITCM, 2. dia S 06. To disabe the Tracker pager at your station, 1. press ITCM, 2. dia # 06. To send a ca back message to someone s Tracker Pager after receiving a ring-no-answer, 1. Make an intercom ca to someone and receive no answer, 2. Press preprogrammed TRACK button (or dia #O), 3. After your station returns to ide* hang up handset or press SPKK to end. The Pager-Tracker system wi transmit your station extension number to caed party s Tracker Pager dispay. (Some modes wi aso dispay your station name if the system is programmed to incude station names.) * Zf the Trackerpaging system does not accept your action, an error tone wi sound back at your teephone. &DigiTech Station User s Guide

To respond when your Tracker Pager dispays park orbit diaing code, 1. From any system station, press ITCM, 2. Dia dispayed orbit code (# 91-99), 3. Retrieve ca. To park a ca and have Tracker Pager te someone to retrieve the ca, 1. Answer ca and press TRANWCONF, 2. Press TRACK (or dia # O), 3. Your dispay shows park orbit (91-99) and then returns to ide*, Hang up handset or press SPKR to end. The Tracker paging system wi transmit orbit diaing code and caer ID information, if avaiabe, to caed party s Tracker Pager dispay. (Apha/numeric modes dispay #91 through #99 whie numeric-ony modes dispay -91 through -99.) * Zf the Trackerpaging system does not accept your action, an error tone wi sound back at your teephone. Switching Between Puse and Tone To convert to tone whie diaing -- If the oca teephone service is puse (rotary) NOTE: press # at point in diaing sequence where conversion to tone is required. To cance ca forward, NOTE: 1. press OPTIONS, 2. press NEXT 3. press CFWD 4. press PERS or ALL 5. press CLEAR, 6. press SPKR to end. For each persona ca received during ca forward, you wi hear a ringreminder (short tone burst) toremindyou that cas are being forwarded. Usinq Automatic Ca-Back To arrange for the system to ca back when a busy station becoines ide or rings with no answer, 1. make intercom ca and hear busy signa or ring-back tone, 2. press CAMP, 3. hang up. (When caed station becomes ide or is operated by its user, your station wi ring. Ca-back is canceed if you do not ift your handset when you hear this ringing). To answer a ca-waiting tone at your teephone, 1. hear short tone burst in handset receiver, 2. compete present ca, and hang up (waiting ca wi begin ringing), 3. ift handset to answer. Engaging Automatic Set Reocation NOTE: If this feature has been enabed by your system programmer,. the message-waiting ight wijash for severa seconds when you connect your teephone to another ocation. This means that the system is waiting to automaticay reocate your extension number and otherprogrammedfeatures to the new ocation. If you do not want your teephone to have a of its od programming after reocation, reject the automatic reocation. To accept automatic reocation, do nothing and wait for the ight to turn off on its own, orpress the HOLD button to immediatey accept the reocation (ight immediatey turns off). DgTech Station User s Guide tx?a70-184 Programming Your Teephone To store autodia or persona speed dia numbers, 1. press OPTIONS, 2. press NEXT three times, 3. press ADIAL or SDIAL to choose autodia or speed dia programming. 4. press programmabe button 5. press ine button, or dia 1,2,3, or 4, to seect ine groups 1-4, or dia 0 for system to seect ine, 6. dia number to be stored (16 digits max.) to store hookfash in an autodia sequence, press TAP; press HOLD to store pause (ony if needed), 7. press SAVE, then press next programmabe button, and dia another number to be stored, 8. repeat previous step unti finished then press SPKR. NOTE: You can store an autodia number at a second eve at a DSS button if you wish. To store extension numbers at DSS buttons, 1. press OPTIONS, 2. press NEXT four times, 3. press DSS 4. press programmabe button, 5. dia extension number, 6. press next programmabe button and dia another extension number, 7. repeat previous step unti finished then press SPKR to end. To store specia purpose feature buttons, 1. press OPTIONS, 2. press NEXT four times, 3. press FEAT, 4. press NEXT unti the feature you want is dispayed, 5. press desired feature button, 3. press programmabe button, 7. press NEXT to program another feature or EXIT to quit. NOTE: The Federa Communications Commission (FCC) requires that when programming emergency numbers andmaking test cas to emergency numbers you do the foowing: (I) Remain on the ine and briefy expain to the dispatcher the reason for the ca; (2) aways make such a test ca during the off-peak hours, such as eary morning or ate evening. 22-DigiTech Station User s Guide
