Functional safety feature : l Start-up sequences are implemented to ensure safe operation by a trained, experienced operator. l 50 ms response time compatible with the movement speeds of equipment controlled. Transmitter safety feature : l An active priority general shutdown command is generated when the is pressed. l Access to this system is limited to qualified operators by means of a lock and key. l An indicates an alarm in the event of an insufficiently charged battery (the horn output is also activated in this case. l A «dead man» function shuts down the transmitter after 90 s if no command has been generated. l The manipulators and buttons are protected by mechanical guards to prevent unintentional actions. Receiver safety features : l Passive shutdown system in the event of radio link jamming. l Shutdown circuit control by means of 2 guided-contact safety relays. l Overload protection by fuses Characteristics 4 4/1 Transmitter UME Mechanical and environmental withstand characteristics Housing u Polyamide 6-6, 15% glass fibre u IP 65 u Manipulators mechanically protected u Carrying belt Weight 1.7 Kg Dimensions 270x150x170 mm Operating temperature range - 20 C to + 60 C Storage temperature range - 20 C to + 80 C 5
