A General Note About Citing Sources All sources are listed in alphabetical order. Book titles and periodical titles (magazines, journals, newspapers) are italicized. Titles of chapters by different authors and titles of periodical articles (from magazines, journals, and newspapers) are indicated by indicating all terms (except the first letter of the first word and proper names) in lower case letters. Library information is NOT required. Most databases include the citation information with the source. You may highlight and copy/paste the information to a word processing document. Simply delete what is not needed, and add what is, after pasting. If author information is unavailable, use the first two or three words of the title in its place (ignoring such words as a, an, and the).
