The Grblink bords re ble to precisely control the cmers. For re-scn pplictions, this includes synchronous reset s well s exposure control. The synchronous reset llows the ppliction to precisely control the instnt of the imge cpture. Of course, synchronous opertion modes re lso supported. For line-scn cmers, this includes the control of the line rte nd of the exposure. Free-running modes re lso supported. Flexible nd Relible re-scn cquisition Modes Trigger When the prt is in front of the cmer, signl, clled Trigger, is generted nd sent to the Grblink to strt the cquisition. This externl signl is generted by ny type of externl hrdwre device, such s sensor, which is connected to one of the input lines of the Grblink bords. softwre trigger signl my lso be generted by the host ppliction. - Trigger dely: in order to ccommodte different positions of the sensor, n optionl progrmmble trigger dely my postpone the strt of the cquisition for given number of microseconds. - Trigger decimtion: in order to decrese the cquisition speed, the Grblink my be instructed to skip, t regulr defined rte, some of the pulses sent by the externl trigger. Motion encoders When the speed of the web or prt to be inspected is not constnt, it is importnt to properly synchronize the cmer line rte with the motion of the object, or this cn led to distortion or non-uniform pixel spect rtio in the imge. This cn be done using n incrementl motion encoder. In this mode, the Grblink frme grbber controls the cmer scnning rte bsed on the dt received from the motion encoder. - When the prt moves fster, the cquisition line rte of the cmer increses. - When the prt moves slower, the cquisition line rte of the cmer decreses.

Optionlly, the Grblink cn be instructed to cquire lines only when the object is moving forwrd, or only when the object is moving bckwrd. - With the bckwrd motion cncelltion, the Grblink is cpble of stopping the cquisition when bckwrd motion is detected. The line cquisition utomticlly resumes when the motion is gin in the forwrd direction t the exct plce where the cquisition ws interrupted.
