Development of e-infrastructure for scientific communities There are three main goals we are working on: further development and evaluation of high-performance communication networks for research and education high-performance computing (supercomputers, GRID infrastructure, applications) create, collect and federate Scientific data (Digital Repositories) in order to use digital content in research, education and extract knowledge out of data

Russian Scientific Heritage Digital Library Collaboration Russian Academy of Sciences Libraries are currently the major collaborators in the project We are planning to get a few thousand books digitized every month from the all scanning points These Libraries cooperate by contributing their collections to the Digital Library and making them available free of charge to anyone

National Portal for Science, Education and Culture Objective reality During its history Russia has created a great number of cultural and scientific values that are part and parcel of world culture There are a lot of primary data sources in digital form (digital repositories) created by libraries, museums, archives, publishing houses, research centers Technology solutions for generating and maintaining digital repositories are available Internet infrastructure in Russia is growing up Russia is a part of international Internet community

National Portal for Science, Education and Culture Information Structure Large Russian Encyclopedia is a Kernel of the Portal ( it consists of generalized abstracts) Sectoral Encyclopedias, Periodicals, Monographs are the next level Primary sources of data (experimental row data, social sciences data ) are on the ground level Cross references between sources levels provide information aggregate and combine process in order to generate and share knowledge
