We will be having a Vocal adjudicator and a Dance adjudicator. Prizes Vocals/ Solo / Duo / Trio/ Quartet sections will receive a trophy for 1st, 2 nd and 3 rd place. Highly commended will receive a ribbon. Time Limits: Any Song / Dance exceeding the specified time, the music will be faded out. Vocals 4 minutes Solos 3 Minutes Duos / trios 3 Minutes
Rules and Conditions of Entry: This is a child friendly event- all children will be given the opportunity to perform at their best. Competitors compete strictly at their own risk, no responsibility will be taken for any accident, injury or loss of property, this includes all people present as well as competitors. Only amateurs may enter the eisteddfod, anyone earning a full time wage from either teaching or performing cannot enter. Please arrive 45mins prior to your section. LATE ENTRIES we will accept late entries if the section is not full, late entries will incur a $10 late fee per section. Proof of age must be available immediately. You must have proof of age with you throughout the eisteddfod. If competitor s ages are questioned and you cannot prove their age, you will be disqualified. No one is permitted to approach the adjudicator at any time. The decision of the adjudicator is final. Prompting is permitted in 5/u dance section only. There is to be no prompting in any other sections. Anyone caught prompting with be disqualified immediately. Music can be played on CD or using an IPOD connection. All cd s must be queued and labelled. They must be at the music desk before the start of your section. There must only be 1 track on your cd. Ipod s must have only one song in the playlist and they must be clearly labelled, you can choose to play your music yourself to avoid wrong tracks being played. Ensure your device is clearly labelled. No competitor will dance/ sing out of order of the program unless permission is granted by the committee. VOCALS Microphones will be available for all sections. Microphone use is optional. VOCALS Backing vocals allowed, but must not overpower singer. IMPROVISATION All improvisations must wear plain one-piece leotard and stockings. Duo/ Trio/ Quartet Dance must in the average age category. For example, Trio aged: 12,13, 14 =average of 13, must enter in 13/u age category. Any section can be cancelled or joined at the discretion of the committee. If you have not received your program one week before the eisteddfod it is solely your responsibility to send an email to: empowereisteddfod@outlook.com advise of this so another can be emailed. All competitors / teachers are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate insurance and licensing with APRA/AMCOS. No one is permitted to video. An official videographer will be present and you may purchase a copy of the routine from them. No photography is permitted in the auditorium or in change rooms. Tap shoes must not be worn in the auditorium, unless covered. Any rule may be amended at the discretion of the committee.
