WORLD LIT FEATURING SALLY WEN MAO World Lit is pleased to introduce Sally Wen Mao, the 2015 Singapore Creative Writing Residency resident. Her work has been described as visceral, textural and electric with topics that range from desire to danger. About Sally Wen Mao Sally Wen Mao is the author of Mad Honey Symposium (Alice James Books, 2014). Her work has been anthologized in The Best American Poetry 2013 and is forthcoming or published in Poetry, Black Warrior Review, Guernica, the Missouri Review, and Washington Square, among others. She earned an MFA from Cornell University and has received fellowships from Kundiman, Hedgebrook, and Saltonstall Foundation. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY and teaches in the Asian American Studies department at Hunter College. Sally is the 2015 Singapore Creative Writing Residency resident. About Cyril Wong Cyril Wong is the Singapore Literature Prize-winning author of poetry collections such as Unmarked Treasure, Tilting Our Plates to Catch the Light, The Dictator s Eyebrow and After You. He has also published Ten Things My Father Never Taught Me and Other Stories and a novel, The Last Lesson of Mrs de Souza. His poems have been anthologised in Language for a New Century: Contemporary Poetry from the Middle East, Asia and Beyond (W. W. Norton 2008) and Chinese Erotic Poems (Everyman s Library 2007).
