DAO 081 ANALOGUE OUTPUT MODULE Connections The connection to the signals is made by means of a 17 pole, 3 row spring terminal strip to the terminal module DKL 022. The supply voltage is connected to terminal 17a or 17b, the supply ground to terminal 17c. The terminals 1a to 8a are for connecting the analogue output channels to. The row of terminals b (terminals 1-16) is assigned entirely to analogue ground and terminal c (terminals 1-16) is entirely assigned to GND (potential ground). ANALOGUE OUTPUT MODULE DAO 081 Wiring instructions In order to guarantee trouble free functioning it is essential to stick to a meticulous wiring arrangement: The 0 V supply voltage connection must follow the shortest path to the common 0 V terminal. The top-hat rail must be properly connected to earth. The connecting wires to the analogue components must be as short as possible and avoid lying in parallel to wires carrying digital signals. The signal carrying wires must be screened. The screening must be connected to a common screening rail. ANALOGUE OUTPUT MODULE DAO 081 Matching data For hardware the matching values for offset, multiplier and divisor are determined in the factory. These values are saved in a serial EEPROM found in the module.
