A swiss tribute The Swiss Government paid another tribute to the legendary film maker Late Yash Chopra by unveiling a 350 kg bronze statue of him with his film camera inside the Kursaal area in Interlaken on May 4, 2016. The event was organised by Interlaken Tourism and Jungfrau Railways who had earlier named him Ambassador of Interlaken in 2011 and had named a train after him respectively. Highest collection by a dubbed film Baahubali-The Beginning directed by SS Rajamouli in Telugu which was released across India in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi on July 10, 2015 collected approximately Rs 100 crore in the domestic market from the Hindi film alone. In the weeks that followed it also became the highest grossing movie with reports of collecting Rs 650 crore overall. Oldest debut in film Chinnakrishnan Kaliyaperumal (b June 10, 1924) from Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu acted as a lead in the Tamil short film 93* Not Out written and directed by Arudra Saravanakumar. Film with prisoners and police as cast Hindi short film Shuddi A New Beginning directed by Sanjeev Sharma has a cast of police officers and prisoners serving life term of the Central Jail of Jaipur, Rajasthan in October 2014. The 5-min black and white film written and directed by Sanjeev was based on Mahatma Gandhi s life during his prison stay. The film was shot during a fiveday film workshop from Oct 13-17, 2014, conducted for the prisoners of Jaipur jail and was screened there on the last day. Largest social film making competition YES Foundation, the CSR wing of Yes Bank, organised a countrywide short film making challenge, YES! i am the CHANGE 2015, on social issues and received 2,755 films and over 1.4 lakh team registrations for the project from 2,500 cities from July 23 Oct 6, 2015. The competition was done in four categories Corporate (July 23-27, 2015), NGO (July 23-27, 2015, Student (August 15-19, 2015) and Open (Oct 2-6, 2015) with participants working in the specific area. A jury consisting of 19 eminent personalities selected 45 winners spread across the four categories. He started the performance at 10.13 am and finished by 8.21 pm. On April 25, 2016, the CEO of International Magicians Society, USA, Tony Hassiny came to Mumbai to honour Subhash with the Merlin Award, the first Indian policeman to get this prestigious award.
