Based in Australia, Bamboozled Productions is known globally for specialising in boutique performance circus tents, street theatre, roving & site-specific works. Energetic & eclectic, Louise Clarke is a highlyskilled director, producer & performer with 20 years experience. Turning streets into stages, Louise has performed in large-scale productions with Amsterdam s Warner & Consorten, directed Adelaide Fringe s award-winning Street Theatre Festival & continues to defy gravity in her solo show, Pandora Boxes. When she s not managing Bamboozled s unique venues, Louise is producing & directing spontaneous work including pop-up activations and attractions such as <Stirling Fringe>. Since 2015, Louise has co-produced the Royal Croquet Club s celebrated program, voted best Adelaide Fringe program by The Guardian UK. With circus, theatre, hypnosis and dance, to name just a few of the art-forms on show, and an emphasis on exciting, new and genre-defying work, the RCC has the best pick-anyshow program on offer. For 20 years, Nigel has been lighting up audiences worldwide with his comic genius, impeccable timing & classicallytrained movement with his famed persona Mr. Spin. Nigel is also the brains behind Bamboozled s pop-up venues original structural designs. Together, this slick duo of celebrated performers have established their unique family business, balancing their behind the scenes direction with their tremendous onstage skills as vaudevillian duo act The Doogans. Venues Experience and appreciate the transient, fleeting beauty of life in our own floating world, the lavish Ukiyo tent. The word Ukiyo is Japanese meaning The Floating World, referring to the collective pleasure seeking quarters of urban Edo (modern day Tokyo) life, it was a time of never before known peace and prosperity where culture flourished and the common people could enjoy theatre, music, dance... and some less virtuous forms of entertainment perhaps. Venues THE PARLOUR The Parlour originally developed for Sydney s Spectrum Now Festival, in design collaboration with Yakusan. It s enchanting wooden facade - adorned with deep maroon and navy Trompe-l œil detail - canvas roof, and rich velvet interiors, echo a bygone era. Immediately evocative of Victorian circuses and opium dens, the decadent venue allures with the dark, the exotic and the unfamiliar. With a flexible interior layout (including the ability for cabaret-style set up) and circus rigging bar, The Parlour is set to be the star of many events to come. Venues The Little Palais was absolutely fabulous and we loved having it at the event. It is such a gorgeous and eye catching venue and worked perfectly for both dance parties. LAURA RAINE, FLORIADE NIGHTFEST The striking high contrast design of The Little Palais demands attention in any setting. The alternating bands of colour tease the viewer s perception; is it light on dark or dark on light, are the lines expanding or contracting? Did that tent just move? Like a kaleidoscope the pattern seems to constantly rearrange, never settling for long; a precursor to the ever-changing experience within. Venues This tent is a tribute to Enrico Rastelli, the greatest juggler of all time and one of vaudeville s biggest stars. It was said Rastelli possessed body motions that apparently spoke the language of the props. This venue s design draws upon the abstract art theories of Wassily Kandinski to interpret the movement, energy, rhythm and poise of a performer such as Rastelli - and to reflect the reactions, expressions and moods of the audience. Venues Good things come in small packages. This venue is a little dynamo. It s a pocket rocket. Its canvas walls containing (at times barely) the full force of Bamboozled s entertainment power. With a slightly retro colour scheme and some mid-century styling, the Pocket feels a bit Space Age and that s okay with us. Blast off!
