NOT: This product is not intended for life or safety applications. o not install this product in hazardous or classified locations. The installer is responsible for conformance to all applicable codes. The addition of either symbol to a anger or Warning safety label indicates that an electrical hazard exists which will result in personal injury if the instructions are not followed. This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to potential personal injury hazards. Obey all safety messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible injury or death. lways use this product in the manner specified or the protection provided by the product may be impaired. This product must be installed in an appropriate ire and lectrical enclosure per local regulations.

PowerLogic LVT Installation Guide Installation Overview Installation Overview 1. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician. Turn off and lock out power to the primary circuit before installing these current transducers (Ts). Use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm that power is off. 2. onnect the transducer output leads to the meter inputs. The white wire is the X1 lead. 3. epress the tabs on one end of the current transducer to open it and slip it over the primary leads. There is a label on the product indicating the source side. NOT: If the I-bar is removed, re-orient it according to the markings on the surface of the core surface, then re-attach it. 4. heck the core ends on both sections of the T to assure there is no rust or debris in the closure areas. 5. lose and latch the T, and mount it securely. 6. Turn on power to the panel. igure 1 1 V and.333 V urrent Transducer I-bar Specifications ccuracy Leads Type Operating Temperature Range Storage Temperature Range Humidity Range Max. PowerLogic LVT Installation Guide Introduction Introduction ccuracy is specified with the primary conductor(s) centered in the T window. In any application where fault currents can exceed 20 times the rated current of the T, wire ties or similar fasteners should be used to secure the I-ar to the T housing. Wire ties should be used on each side of each T, as shown below. Ts should be secured using wire ties or brackets. Wire tie used to secure I-ar in applications where a fault current could exceed 20X rated current. The maximum voltage used without additional insulation is 600V for models LVT00xxx, LVT01xxx, LVT02xxx, LVT10xxx, LVT11xxx, LVT12xxx. o not apply current transducers to circuits having a phase-to-phase voltage greater than the stated maximum voltage unless adequate additional insulation is applied between the primary conductor and the current transducers. Schneider lectric assumes no responsibility for damage of equipment or personal injury caused by transducers operated on circuits above their published ratings. escription The LVTxxx series of 1 and 0.333 volt split-core current transducers provide secondary voltage proportional to the primary (sensed) current. or use with power meters, data loggers, chart recorders, and other instruments the LVTxxx series of 1 and 0.333 volt Ts provide a cost-effective means to transform electrical service amperages to a voltage compatible with monitoring equipment. 2008 Schneider lectric ll Rights Reserved. 3

The T is rated as reinforced insulation for applications up to 300V between the sensed conductor and the output leads. If reinforced insulation is required for applications above 300 V, then the sensed conductor must be provided with appropriate insulation. 4 2008 Schneider lectric ll Rights Reserved.
