The Syncrude Athletic Park Clubhouse The Syncrude Athletic Park Clubhouse is located in Timberlea, on the Syncrude Athletic Park grounds. The stunning Clubhouse is open year-round and features state-of-the-art facilities, including a large atrium, meeting rooms, change rooms a commercial kitchen, flat screen HDMI-capable TVs, an audio system with wireless microphones, tables and chairs and WiFi access throughout. It can be booked for private functions, training sessions, meetings, and more.

Play Production Series Introduction with Theatre; Just Because Have you ever wanted to direct your own play, but don t know where to begin? Are you an actor who wants to collaborate with other passionate artists? Are you new to the theatre community and want to dip your toes in? Are you an experienced artist looking for opportunities to further your art form? Join Theatre; Just Because at the Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts for an exciting series of workshops where experienced, local theatre artists will guide you through the process of putting a One Act Play from selecting your script, through rehearsals, to seeing it performed on stage. Weekly workshops will be held from October 1st until the middle of November - from there you will attend rehearsals that are scheduled based on your availability. It s that time of year again! MLA Rachel Notley is seeking artists for Art from the Unknown, 2015. This free event provides a no-cost gallery space to new and emerging artists in our community (including artists from Wood Buffalo!). A new and emerging artist is defined as any artist, regardless of skill level, whose primary income does not come from selling their work. Low-income artists are especially encouraged to apply. In January 1916, the province of Manitoba granted women the right to vote in provincial elections. Women in Saskatchewan and Alberta followed shortly afterwards. The anniversary of women s suffrage in Canada provides an opportunity to look back on the lives of these exceptional women and, by sharing their stories of perseverance and determination, inspire young Canadian women today. The Actors Fund of Canada: The Lifeline for Canada s Entertainment Industry The Actors Fund of Canada provides emergency financial aid to assist cultural workers in recovering from an illness, injury or other circumstances causing severe economic and personal hardship. The Fund is not just for actors: performers, creators, technical staff and other production team members in the fields of film & TV, theatre, music and dance can benefit from the Fund. The Actors Fund of Canada receives no government funding and is wholly sustained by support from individuals and entertainment industry organizations. Through its Film and Television Relief Program (FTRP) the Fund will help hundreds of film and television industry workers in 2014. The Actors Fund of Canada was the recipient of the 2011 Gemini Special Award for exceptional service to the Canadian television industry.
