TECHNICAL RIDER Video Projection Requested Season: 2017-2018 GENERAL INFORMATION: NOTE: All deviations from this rider must be approved. CONTACT: Each presenter should receive a minimum of two telephone contacts from the ARTIST or ARTIST S representative before the arrival of the ARTIST. A representative of the ARTIST should contact the local presenter and/or the Venue Tech Director approximately two weeks prior to each engagement, and the ARTIST should contact the Venue Tech Director again approximately 48 hours before the performance date to reconfirm. If no contact by ARTIST is received, please contact the Live On Stage offices at (615) 672-7060 and we will arrange for an ARTIST representative to contact you. ARRIVAL TIME: Upon initial contact, ARTIST to provide the actual arrival time. Number of people in touring company: 10 Number of people performing on stage: 8 LOCAL PRESENTER/PURCHASER AGREES TO FURNISH AT OWN EXPENSE: STAGE REQUIREMENTS: Stage should be swept clean and cleared of all equipment, debris, etc., prior to ARTIST S arrival. The stage should not consist of any cracks or holes. Preferred stage dimensions: 36 feet wide x 24 feet deep. Six (6) armless, straight-backed chairs are required as per stage plot. One (1) armless barstool. A clear and private backstage crossover behind the backdrop is preferred. Risers: If available, three (3) risers with (with steps if necessary) totaling 4 x 4 minimum (at least 8 high) on the left, right and center stage with steps. Please notify ARTIST if risers are not available. Power: Six (6) clean AC power drops with quad outlet boxes. Two per riser. Clear Com System: ARTIST will use the house clear com communications system if available (SL, SR, Audio, Lighting and Follow Spot positions). Please notify ARTIST if not available. Backdrop: If a choice of backdrops exists, a cyclorama (cyc) that can be washed with any combination of reds, greens, and blues with some breakups on it would be most appropriate. If there is no cyclorama, a black traveler or backdrop would be acceptable. Please check with the ARTIST upon initial contact. If a Grand curtain exists, the curtain should be open as the house is open. Drapes: ARTIST tours 6 straight drapes. These are 4ft wide and 22ft long. If available, an empty baton just upstage of the risers and the piano is required in order to hang these. Wings: A minimum of 6 wing space should be available on each side of the stage. Stage floor: The stage surface should be suitable for dance. (Note: please no temporary stage platforms, concrete stages, carpeted areas, etc.) ARTIST can supply Black Marley to cover the dance area of the stage. Communications: If your facility is equipped with clear com communication, there should be headsets (2) at the follow spot positions, one at our audio station, one at the lighting board position and one in each wing of the stage (stage left and stage right). Power: will require 6 power drops on stage. 2 per riser. Please ensure that extensions and Quad boxes are available. Table: will need one 4ft table at mix position in the house. There will also be a table needed side stage and a small one needed for the keyboard player. Projector and Projection Screen: Where possible the artist would like to make use of in house projectors and screens. Details on this will be provided by the Company Manager during the advance contact. PIANO REQUIREMENTS: ARTIST will use a grand piano if one is available at the venue. It should be in excellent condition, to be tuned to A-440 on the morning of performance and an adjustable piano bench. ARTIST carries a keyboard in the event there is no grand piano. AUDIO REQUIREMENTS: ARTIST will provide some but not all audio equipment. ARTIST will use Venue front-of-house audio system, which should include appropriate and professional power amps, equalizers, speakers, and monitors for venue dimensions. ARTIST carries a mixing console as well as all in-ear-monitoring (IEM), ¼ instrument cables, mics with clips, DI boxes and XLR cables. ARTIST tours with a SC48 to be patched in to the venue s house PA to facilitate saved audio settings and to minimize the setup and sound check time. Preferred distance from stage for mix position is 30 to 50 away. The position should ensure an undisturbed view onto the stage and to the main sound system and should not be under a balcony. Two office chairs with wheels and arm rests for the Engineers should be provided. Final placement should be done in cooperation with our Company Manager. ARTIST will use the sound system that is in the house as long as the system has adequate power and is placed to provide complete audience coverage with minimal sight-line obstruction. Out/In Fills and Delays, when used, must have independent sends to the L+R Master. The preferred Stereo Sound Systems are L-Acoustics, D&B, Martin, Nexo, Meyer components or equivalent, for FOH providing fullfrequency response. Sound System should comfortably maintain a constant sound pressure level of 95 db (C-Weighted) at the rear of the performance area. ARTIST is aware of client sensitivity to volume levels and will be accommodating. ARTIST will bring a multi-input stage box (snake) and sub remote stage boxes. Once stage has been setup correctly and line-check has been successfully completed, the band requires one hour to sound check. MONITORS: ARTIST WILL NOT be carrying wedge monitors (Mix 7). Presenter to provide the wedge monitors indicated on the stage plot. LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS: Good concert lighting is required. Usually a general color stage wash with an overhead and front of house electric suffices. WILL NOT BE BRINGING ANY LIGHTING EQUIPMENT WITH THEM. RESERVE THE RIGHTS TO USE WHATEVER IN HOUSE EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE TO ENHANCE THE SHOW. All stage washes and specials are required from house fixtures. A knowledgeable FOH Lighting Engineer should be available from load in time. do not tour an engineer so this crew member will be needed to set up and run the lights during the show. 2 of 6

Most existing, permanently installed, conventional lighting systems with a central lighting console and dimmers that include an assortment of par cans, lekos, fresnels etc. that can cover the entire stage area in a proscenium theater are suitable. In essence, if the theater is setup for theatrical performances, we can generally make use of your existing lighting. Generally, we need to able to make the entire stage area bright (with gels, discussed later) and also low for mood. Front lighting that carries the downstage edge is necessary. SPOTS: ARTIST will use up to 2 follow spots and spot operators if follow spots are available. LOCAL CREW REQUIREMENTS: NOTE: The Company will carry a Company Manager and One Audio Engineer. This crew has a very demanding responsibility during performance days. They will direct and assist in all of the following needs of the local crew. The approximate load-in and setup time is 2-3 hours. Teardown and load-out should take approximately 1 hour. The show, including intermission, is 2 hours. 1) The Company will require a qualified local crew of four (Please no inexperienced teenagers, volunteers or anyone incapable of lifting heavy equipment). The crew may range from a knowledgeable high school or college theatre class crew to an IATSE union crew. The crew should arrive at the venue approximately 30 minutes before the designated arrival time of the Company, usually 4-5 hours prior to the performance (to prepare the venue or for early arrival). 2) The Local Crew duties include but are not limited to the following. BEFORE ARRIVAL OF COMPANY: A) Making sure the venue is open and accessible by 30 minutes before arrival time B) Making sure the stage is completely clear and swept. C) Making sure the loading dock is free and clear and capable of unloading an 8 X 14 trailer attached to a tour bus. D) Hanging and general focus of the lighting PRE-SHOW: A. Load-In crew of 4 (See requirements in #1 above). A) B) Load-in of all equipment, costumes etc. to be used during the performance. B) Setting up the equipment, refining lighting focus, tying in audio (if needed) and costume steaming and pre-setting. SHOW PERFORMANCE: Our local crew will be used during the performance in the following crew positions. It would be helpful if the Local Crew 1 (Stage Manager) has already determined these by arrival time: A) CREW 1: Stage Manager: Will operate the main stage curtain, help trim the stage. Will also help with existing stage, electrical and audio needs, as well as manage the local crew B) Page _4 of _7 C) CREW 2: Lighting Operator: Will be responsible for the hang and focus of the show. Will also run the stage and house lights during the show. Our Company Manager will give notes for queues and assist with this. D) CREW 3: Will operate house left follow spot E) CREW 4: Will operate house right follow spot POST SHOW: Load out crew of 4 minimum (See requirements in #1 above). Teardown and packing up all equipment, drapage, costumes, etc. Load-out of all of the above. Any other duties required by local stage manager for venue needs. We should have a minimum break time of 50 minutes before ShowTime. Crew call time for show is 10 minutes before the show. REHEARSAL REQUIREMENTS: Auditorium and concert piano should be available for load-in and rehearsal for approximately five hours (seven hours preferred) on the day of performance. ARTIST or ARTIST S representative to contact presenter approximately two weeks prior to engagement and again approximately 48 hours before ARTIST S arrival to schedule rehearsal time, if necessary. 3 of 6

DRESSING ROOM REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) private dressing rooms on the same floor and with easy access to the stage, furnished with chair, table, mirror, clothes rack with adequate hangers, and wastebasket. The dressing room should have access to a private bathroom (for ARTIST only) with hot and cold running water, adequately supplied with fresh soap and clean towels, tissue and paper towels. Showers are requested if available. HOSPITALITY: ARTIST would greatly appreciate bottled water, and other various beverages and any assortments of small snacks such as a fruit, veggie or sandwich tray at approximately 1-1 ½ hours before show time. Please verify this with the ARTIST during the initial contact conversation. A hot meal would be greatly appreciated. Please verify food options upon initial contact. Hot water for tea and coffee with lemon and honey would also be appreciated. NOTE: A vegetarian option should be available. RECEPTIONS: The ARTIST will be happy to attend receptions, however due to the rigorous tour schedule; sometimes the ARTIST may not be available. Before attending a reception, the company may also need to complete their touring duties and equipment load-out. Please clear all receptions in advance with the representative of the tour upon initial contact. The ARTIST will ALWAYS try to accommodate. MERCHANDISE: The ARTIST may have merchandise for sale. If so, Presenter agrees to provide table(s) and volunteer(s) to sell merchandise before the concert, at intermission, and after the concert, if ARTIST requests. PARKING: PRESENTER agrees to obtain all permits and authorizations where necessary to allow ARTIST s vehicles direct access to loading doors for the duration of the load-in, running of productions, and load out.
