The stage area must be free of any obstructions e.g. large set pieces, orchestra/choral shells, and pianos. Theatrical conditions are required and a black-out must be possible.
SET DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS The main element of the set is formed by square-shape targets hanging from the roof. The targets are lightweight foam squares (380 grams each) and rigged with string to flybars, grid, catwalks or trusses. The targets will be stabilized by taping the strings to the floor. The attaching points are not exact, they will be always done according to the venue s conditions. 2 rolls of black dance mat tape are required for attaching the strings on the floor and preparing other parts of the set. During the show, light elastic strings will be attached to the squares. The elastic string rolls need to be attached on the sides of the stage, behind the curtains, in different heights between 1 and 2 meters, on separate stands. 4 stands are needed (booms, tripods or sidelight stands). Depending on the venue, they can be also attached on the walls.
During the performance we use apples and toasts. If there are no supermarkets or shops close to the venue, the presenter should provide: 15 beautiful apples and 1 bag of sliced bread per show. (Large ones if possible!) LIGHT The company will travel with its own lighting console. Dimmer channels: 53 + audience light Lighting fixtures needed: Qty Type 3 36 Source Four profile (or equivalent profile Robert Juliat, ADB warp, etc) 8 19 Source Four (or equivalent profile Robert Juliat, ADB warp, etc) 2 25-50 ETC Zoom (or equivalent profile Robert Juliat, ADB warp, etc) 13 1 kw Fresnel or PC 2 2 kw Fresnel 15 PAR 64 cp62 12 PAR 64 cp60 1 MDG Hazer (or other quality hazer) 3 Floor stands 1 Cross bar stand approx. 2m height for 4 x PARs 1 2-3 meter truss line (or 50mm tubes) hung at 4 meter height, for 8 PARs Some of the fixtures can be replaced by led washes or moving fixtures. SOUND Professional quality stereo sound system, with full range speakers and separate sub-bass speakers. All necessary fills and clusters (with adjustable delay and EQ) for good coverage for the audience area. Quality manufactures preferred: D & B, EAW, EV, L ACOUSTICS, MARTIN, MEYER, NEXO, etc. The system must be free of hums and noises and in good working condition at load-in time. The show will run from a laptop and a external soundcard, provided by the company. On stage we need: One XLR line to connect a loop station Sidefills / 2 monitors (down-stage left and right)
SAFETY During the performance we will be using real bow and arrows. It s extremely important that we have no technicians or other persons hanging around the stage or on the sides (backstage) during the performance and rehearsal time. The times of rehearsal will be given beforehand to the venue and must be announced beforehand to everyone working in the premises. It is crucial that the venue takes care that nobody will move around the stage at that time. The company will take care that no shooting will be done at any other time. If the stage is not surrounded by walls, we need to find ways to protect some of the areas behind the targets, in the case of an eventual misfired arrow (although the chances are small, it might happen). Big cardboard boxes compressed together, or wooden plates, can be placed in the backstage side areas, behind the targets. If needed, we can bring a protection net. If necessary, please count one more extra luggage in the transportation. We only shoot to the sides and to the back of the stage. There s no risk of an arrow being shot on the direction of the audience! CREW & PROPOSED SETTING SCHEDULE The need of crew and the setting schedule are subject to local conditions. If your venue's circumstances require more time and/or personnel due to e.g. local union regulations, these numbers can be adjusted. Total local crew needed: 1 x Stage technician 2 x Lighting technicians 1 x Sound technician The local crew should be professional and familiar with the venue and the house electricity feeds, dimmers, sound system, fly system etc. The crew must be free from other duties during the set up times. Preferably, the get-in should start one day prior to the 1 st show. The show can be done with a one day set-up, but the pre-rig of lights is necessary in this case. During the show, only stand-by functions are required from local crew. Here is an example of a setting schedule with 2 shows.
