3 P a g e 1. What is Room Booker? CELCAT Room Booker is a web-based application designed for the booking of ad-hoc room requests by users (Lecturers and Other) on their own behalf. Room Booker should only be used by staff to book classrooms via CelCat. Your request will be approved via a responsible administrative staff member. Room Booker is used via a web browser through the Durack Institute of Technology INTRANET in the Academic Support Systems CELCAT Live and Attendance Live drop down link. Room Booker Live is divided into three areas: Room Booking Wizard Room Booker Usage Room Bookings When you make a booking request, an email request is sent to the rooming administrators who administer rooms that might be suitable for your request. If the administrator fulfils the request, an email notification is sent back to you.

Accessing Room Booker Access Room Booker via the menu item on the Live Web Browser screen Finding a Room using Room Booker The Room Booker Wizard helps you to request a room booking, guiding you through the information needed. Use the Next button to progress through the wizard. If you need to go back to review past information, you can use the Back button. You are met with three options
5 P a g e The Room Booking wizard has three different modes of operation: I know both the time and room I want. I need to find a room. I know the room I want, but need to find a time. I know both the time and room I want - This operation allows you to process a room booking request for a specified time and room. Booking Date: Use the drop-down calendar to specify the first date for which you want to make the booking. This will automatically set up the weekly repeats to show a single week for that date. If you wish the booking to be repeated for further weeks, just click to select additional weeks. Hovering your cursor over each week will show the date that the booking would fall on in that week.
6 P a g e Booking Time: Use the time controls to specify the start and end time you want for your booking. The time controls are divided into hours and minutes, with up and down spinner buttons. Click on the hours to associate the buttons with the hours, or on the minutes to associate them with the minutes. You can also just type the time you want into the control. Choose the room you wish to use.

8 P a g e If there are any errors in your data, a description of the problem will be shown in an information panel and the Next button will be disabled until the problem is corrected. If your chosen room was available, complete the form and Select Next. Provide the additional information required
