Since its dedication in 2010, noted speakers such as Dr. Ben Carson of Johns Hopkins and Steven Moore of The Wall Street Journal, and musical groups such as Switchfoot and Chris Tomlin have appeared here. This is also the home of the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra, and a premier hall for pipe organ concerts featuring well-known artists from the U.S. and Europe. SEATING Crawford Auditorium seats 3,047 in a sloped-floor auditorium with fixed theater seating, raised parterres (with stairs, not sloped) on the sides, and a balcony at the back. Main Floor: 2,242 seats Parterre/Balcony: 805 seats Total Auditorium Seating: 3,047 seats Guest FOH Location: Located house right of center aisle at the cross aisle; 18' 6" wide by 7' 6" deep; 100' from stage ACCESS Designed with convenient access for people with disabilities, including parking nearby and a drivethrough covered entrance for dropping off people near entry doors. FOYER Rectangular 6-foot tables, with cloths and skirts, are available for setups and displays in the foyer. The foyer is equipped with video walls, capable of displaying the live action within the auditorium. Please note that the foyer is not available for use separate from the rest of the building. ROOM DIMENSIONS 152' wide throughout; 168' deep from front of stage to back wall; 143' deep from front of stage to front of balcony. A portable 8' deep x 60' wide stage extension is available. The center 4 sections may be replaced with stairs. STAGE Raised, no proscenium opening, no curtain, bamboo hardwood flooring. Dimensions: 75' wide at front, 60' mid-stage, 41' 10" at upstage wall, 34' 6"deep at center. The stage is 40" above the floor level of the front row of seating. There is no orchestra pit or lift. Stage access is from either side via stairs or ramp, and from mid-stage doors that lead to backstage corridor. Rehearsal room, green room and restrooms backstage; standing and seated risers available. LOADING AREA At street level, which is also stage level. Enters into backstage hallway. Doors to stage accommodate 7.5' width and 7.0' height. Chalfant Hall Adaptable for casual or formal events, Chalfant Hall at Olivet Nazarene University hosts large groups with style and ease. The stage setting and audio-visual capabilities are sure to enhance the presentation of your event. Room lighting, adjustable from intimately dim to enthusiastically bright, will help you set the tone and achieve the ambience you desire. Seating 800 for banquet style; 1,885 in auditorium style AREA DIMENSIONS 113'5" by 118'8" with flat, carpeted floor. Room does not subdivide into smaller areas. Stage 53' wide by 23' deep by 17' high with raised stage; proscenium 45' W x 14' H with curtain. Floor to ceiling Black Velour drape separates stage from backstage; these are not on tracks or fly. Main Act Curtain is 25oz. Black Velour, 50% fullness sewn in Bi-parting, rope pull from stage right. Amenities Chairs; square tables for seating 10; 72-inch round tables for seating 8; tablecloths and table skirting; pipe and drape in 3-foot and 8-foot heights; 3-foot portable staging. Technology Chalfant Hall is equipped with lighting, electrical and sound systems, including an audio mixing board and stage monitoring system; wireless microphones; intercom system with headsets; 2 projection screens, 9' by 12' with projector; on-stage laptop input.
