9th Grade Mixed Opus Honor Choir 0 ELIGIBILITY: You must be a curnt ACTIVE, RETIRED or LIFE member of American Choral Dictors Associaon teaching in IOWA to audion students for the Iowa Opus Honor Choirs. Each member may subt up to twelve () singers that a acve in their public or private school choral ensembles, church choirs, or community choirs in the state of Iowa. Singers may not be subtted by ACDA student members. NUTS and BOLTS: A SEPARATE ENTRY must be subtted for each singer. Each singer must have the separate tracks. A LIMIT of singers per ACDA membership Sing the complete excerpt. Do NOT ot measus for any ason! Students should NOT give their name on the cordings. Those who viote this will be disqualified. Use quality cording equipment. Poor equipment can make an excellent voice sound below average. To avoid possible problems, it is advised to listen to your cording befo you subt. The use of any headphone device, softwa, or any other filtering or manipuon of sound to aid in the student s performance for any piece is strictly prohibited! Splicing mulple cordings together to cate a new one is also prohibited. Failu to comply will sult in disqualificaon. Dictors will ceive an email noficaon with students selected for the 0 Opus Honor Choir. Please note: Noficaon will ONLY be sent via the subtng member s ACDA (not ICDA) primary email. It is each member s sponsibility to ensu corct membership status and email addsses through the ACDA Naonal office. Dictor notes with specific instrucons for the pparaon of all Opus selecons will be avaible online at http://www.iowachoral.org/opus (after Sep. ) for students selected for the Opus Honor Choir. The will be NO dictor notes avaible for the audion excerpt. Please not subt students who will be unable to ceive music pparaon from their subtng dictors following their acceptance.
