System Overview Created to work with Lytespan Radius, Basic, and Advent Track and all Lytespan Track Heads, ATOM is easily installed and requires no special wiring. A simple hand-held Laser Remote Control (LRC) allows the user to first activate the system with a laser, and then program individual or multiple Track heads using infrared signals. Easily retrofitted to existing installations, ATOM offers even more flexibility and control than multi-circuit track. ATOM provides up to six programmable scenes plus On/Off scenes, programmable time delays, fading effects, and cycle effects by grouping fixtures on the same sequence. When integrated with Lightolier Controls Compose PLC Firewall (CPLCFW4 & CPLCFW8), ATOM can communicate across multiple circuits of Track to provide the ultimate in lighting control. Ideal for dimming incandescent and low-voltage fixtures with the Addressable Track Dimming Module (DM), ATOM also controls non-dimming compact fluorescent and metal halide sources with the Addressable Track Non-Dimming On/Off Module (NDM). Additional components of the system consist of: Addressable Track Master Module (TM) - permits scene control via line carrier signal among Addressable Track Dimming and Addressable Track On/Off Modules. Wall Remote Control (WRC) - A hard wire unit will interface with ATOM TM & Lightolier Controls Compose System. In-Line Filter (CPLCILF20) Recommended for each track circuit with an ATOM installation. Understanding the Components Addressable Track Dimming Module (DM) CAM250VA Individually addressable module that mounts anywhere along the track and accepts any Lytespan Line & Low Voltage Incandescent luminaire (see luminaire compatibility for exceptions) for the purpose of addressing a selected single luminaire for raising and lowering the light level (dimming) or switching On/Off, while powered by the same track. Programmable to store desired light levels of single luminaires or to group with two or more luminaires within the same system for the purpose of creating light scenes and effects (including kinetic lighting effects) Luminaire Compatibility: Module can be used with any Lytespan Line & Low Voltage Incandescent luminaire, 250W Max. IR & LASER RECEIVER (Target area for laser & IR signals) RED LED Addressable Track Master Module (TM) - CAMTM Sends control signals along the track to other modules from any location on the track. Used to create cycles, scenes, lighting effects, and dim, raise, or turn on or off the light levels on all modules on the track simultaneously. Use one track master per track branch circuit. Accepts commands from Laser Remote Control and Wall Remote Control units. The Track Master can control up to 17 modules per circuit (To control more than 17 modules, additional circuits must be used and connected with Lightolier Controls Compose Firewall. The Firewall is available in 4 or 8 circuit units.). RED LED Addressable Track Non-Dimming On/Off Module (NDM) CAM250ND Individually addressable module that mounts anywhere along the track and accepts any Lytespan Line & Low Voltage Incandescent, fluorescent, and metal halide luminaire (see luminaire compatibility for exceptions) for the purpose of addressing a selected single luminaire for switching On/Off, while powered by the same track. Programmable to store desired light levels (On or Off) of single luminaires or to group with two or more luminaires within the same system for the purpose of creating light scenes and effects. Luminaire Compatibility : Module can be used with any Lytespan Incandescent line voltage, incandescent low voltage, metal halide, & fluorescent luminaire, 250W MAX. DO NOT USE with Power Jack, Sof-Tech Metal Halide, Lytespots, Powerwash T5 Track Mount, Lyteflood L40 & L39, or Convenience outlet Units See individual luminaires instruction sheet for installation into Module. GREEN LED IR & LASER RECEIVER (Target area for laser & IR signals) Laser Remote Control (LRC) - CAMLRC Used to program the system and change light levels from a remote location. Equipped with a laser and infrared (IR) transmitters. The visible laser signal, when pointed at a module, places the module in program mode. The laser signal accuracy allows a single unit to be selected easily when multiple modules are on the track & the IR signal programs the desired functions. The remote will allow the user to set the light level, turn modules on or off, set and run multiple lighting scenes, set fade rates, set cycle times, and begin and end cycles. The remote operates the Dimming Module, Non-Dim On/Off Module, and Track Master Module. Transmitter IR & LASER RECEIVER (Target area for laser & IR signals) 4 5

Wall Remote Control (WRC) - CAMWRC Used to control ATOM Modules from a wall location. The wall remote will allow the user to run multiple programmed lighting scenes and to begin and end cycles. A TM must be used with the Wall Remote Control, to run a cycle. A TM is not needed to switch between scenes. The Wall Remote Control can control up to 17 modules per circuit (To control more than 17 modules, additional circuits must be used and connected with Lightolier Controls Compose Firewall. The Firewall is available in 4 or 8 circuit units.). 3. ATOM Laser Remote Control (LRC) The ATOM Addressable Track Dimming, Non-Dimming On/Off, & Track Master Modules have integrated Infrared (IR) & Laser Receivers that allow them to receive IR and Laser commands from the ATOM Laser Remote Control. The ATOM Remote s IR transmitter & Laser are capable of operating over an unobstructed range of approximately 25 feet. Within this range, scenes can be selected, raised and lowered, and lighting can be turned On/Off using the handheld Remote Control. NOTE: This system is based on line-of-sight operations. Therefore, the Module s receiver must be able to "See" the LRC s Transmitter. Any obstruction between the transmitter and receiver may adversely affect the performance of the unit. Feature Overview Multiple modules can be programmed at the same time by aiming the laser at their Target area for Laser & IR signals, thereby selecting them and also placing them into program mode. All modules programmed at the same time will receive the same IR program commands and their scene settings will be identical. Learn: When not in program mode, press this button to make the Module s LED s blink so they can be easily located on the ceiling or wall. Used to save a program (Scenes, Effects, fades, etc.) when pressed while in program mode. or : Used to raise or lower the light level of a luminaire. Can be used at anytime with a TM and can be used on a DM or NDM when in program mode. A B C D E or F : Used to change to different scenes. Can be used at anytime with a TM and can be used on a DM or NDM when in program mode. All of these scenes can be programmed with different light levels and fade rates. Used as a step to program and run cycles. All of these cycles can be programmed with different scene and fade sequences. ON or OFF Used to change to the ON and OFF scenes. Can be used at anytime with a TM and can be used on a DM or NDM when in program mode. The ON scene can be programmed with a different light level and fade rate but the OFF scene can only be programmed with a different fade rate. f Fade: Used as a step to program fade rate. Used to force a fast fade (1.5 seconds) when pressed during a fade. Select: When the button is pressed it will emit a laser beam. The laser beam must be aimed directly at the fixture s receiver target on a module to initiate the module s program mode. This button is the only but ton that will transmit a laser beam; all other buttons transmit an IR beam. c Cycle: Used as a step for programming and running cycles. 3 7 15 30 sec. 5 min. 30 min. Used as a step to program fade rates and time delays in scene and cycle commands. b Begin: Used as a step for programming and running cycles. e End: Used to exit any program step without saving. Used to halt a running cycle or fade where it s at. 8 9

Replacing Batteries First Time Use: The LRC comes with a protective plastic between the batteries and the contact on the remote to save the battery life during storage. In order for the LRC to work, this plastic should be removed. Remove the battery cover, located on the back of the remote, by snapping it off in the direction shown. Pull out the protective plastic and make sure the batteries are pushed completely in. Snap the cover back on. When buttons are depressed, the LRC s LED should light up. There is also a protective cover on the front of the remotes keypad that should be removed. Replacing Batteries: Remove battery cover, located on back of remote, by snapping it off in the direction shown. Pull out the old batteries. Replace with (2) 3V CR2025 with the positives (+) facing up. Snap battery cover back on. 5. First Time Installation & Test Checklist: This section explains a few things you should know for proper operation and easier use of the ATOM system. Whenever transmitting commands (laser or IR) with the LRC, it must be pointed at and in the line of-sight of the module s sensors that you are sending signals to. BATTERY COVER Make sure there is a good ground throughout, starting at the luminaire ground and ending with the earth ground. Make sure, on the remote that the protective plastic is removed from between the batteries and contacts as shown in Section 3, "replacing batteries" or the remote will not work. Testing a DM or NDM 1. Turn off power to track. 2. Install module into track with luminaire attached (See Section 3 Installation of Modules to Lytespan Track Systems). Re-power Track. 3. Using the LRC, press and hold the Learn button for PROTECTIVE 2 seconds which turns on the Module s LED so it can PLASTIC BATTERIES be easily located. 4. Press and hold the Laser button and aim laser modules, select them in the same manner if they need to be programmed identically to the first module.) The module s LED(s) will blink at a 1/2 second rate when in program mode. The LRC s LED will also blink (every 1 second) to indicate the transmitter will be transmitting program IR commands when buttons are depressed. (After 60 seconds of inactivity, the module(s) will exit the program mode without saving.) 5. Press a SCENE button A B C D E F ON or OFF If the module responds to these buttons with changes in light levels, it s working. 6. Press the end e button to exit the program mode. 10 11

Testing a TM 1. Turn off power to track. 2. Install modules into track with luminaire attached (See Section 3 Installation of Modules to Lytespan Track Systems). Install TM into track. Re-power Track. 3. Using the LRC, press and hold the Learn button for 2 seconds which turns on the TM s LED so it can be easily located. 4. Press and hold the Laser button and aim laser beam at the TM s receiver to select it and place it in program mode. The TM s LED(s) will blink at a 1/2 second rate when in program mode. The LRC s LED will also blink (every 1 second) to indicate the transmitter will be transmitting program IR commands when buttons are depressed. (After 60 seconds of inactivity, the module(s) will exit the program mode without saving.) 5. Point the handheld LRC transmitter in the general direction of the TM and press a SCENE button A B C D E F ON or OFF. If the module s respond to these buttons with changes in light levels, the TM is working. 6. Press the end e button to exit the program mode. 6. Programming ATOM (Basic) Quick Tips: Easily Locating Modules on Ceiling or Wall 1. The Modules LED s can be turn on so they can be located easily on the ceiling or wall: a) To have the LED(s) blink on, press the Learn button. b) To have the LED(s) stay on for 60 seconds, press and hold the Learn button for 2 seconds. NOTE: When using a TM, pointing the LRC at the TM and performing step 1a above will cause all of the Module s LED s on its address to blink on. Note: DM s and TM s have red LED s and NDM s have green LED s. This can be done anytime the Modules aren t in program mode. It is recommend to do this before programming so all Modules can be located easily and there is a target to aim the laser. Forcing A Fade: DM s will always fade into and out of a scene. The default fade rate for all fades is 3 seconds but can be set to as long as 30 minutes or as short as 1 1/2 seconds. If a scenes fade rate is long, you can press the Fade f button to force a fast fade into the scene. Programming Modules Programming a DM or NDM Creating Scenes with One or Multiple Modules modules, select them in the same manner if they need to be programmed identically to the first module.) The module s LED(s) will blink at a 1/2 second rate when in program mode. The LRC s LED will also blink (every 1 second) to indicate the transmitter will be transmitting program IR commands when buttons are depressed. (After 60 seconds of inactivity, the module(s) will exit the program mode without saving.) 2. Press a SCENE button to be programmed ( A B C D E F ON or OFF ). The module(s) will start to fade to the current scene level (the default fade rate for all scenes is 3 sec). NOTE: For the OFF Scene, only the fade rate can be changed, not the light level. NOTE: The NDM will switch to full light output and will not fade. 3. Press the LRC s up or down button s for the desired light level setting for the scene. If you only want to change the fade rate, skip this step. 4. To change the fade rate for the selected scene, press the Fade f button. Press the Fade f button again for a 1 1/2 sec fade or one of the TIME buttons ( 3 7 15 30 sec., 5 or 30 min.). If you don t want to change the fade rate, skip this step. 5. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for all scenes you want to program. 6. To exit the program mode and SAVE the parameters you have just set, press the Learn button. To exit the program mode and CANCEL any parameters you just set, press the end e button. The selected module(s) LED(s) will stop blinking indicating that you are no longer in program mode. NOTE: If using a TM that is in the LRC s viewing angle, all modules that have the same address as the TM will respond to scene changes. 12 13

Programming A System Quick Tips Globally Select Modules with TM The TM can be used to put all of the Modules with its same address into programming mode. This is for global changes while setting scenes. beam at the TM s receiver to select it and place it in program mode. The TM s LED(s) will blink at a 1/2 second rate when in program mode. The LRC s LED will also blink (every 1 second) to indicate the transmitter will be transmitting program IR commands when buttons are depressed. Press and hold the Fade f button for more than 3 seconds, causing the LED to blink rapidly and then after 3 seconds stay on. Release the Fade f button. The TM s LED will start to blink at a 1/2 second rate, delay for two seconds, then send a signal to all Modules on its address which will also start blinking at a 1/2 second rate, indicating that they are all in program mode. Now any scene can be changed or modified globally by following the program steps while pointing the LRC at the TM. Programming Basics with TM Creating Scenes With DM & NDM Units Using TM To create scenes with individual Modules using the TM, perform step 1 from the "Creating Scenes with One or Multiple Modules" section, selecting the individual Modules with the laser. When all Modules are selected, perform steps 2-6, pointing the LRC at the TM, which will communicate the commands to all the selected Modules in Program mode. To create scenes with all Modules at the same time using the TM, globally select all Modules using the Quick Tip above. When all Modules are selected, perform steps 2-6 from the "Creating Scenes with One or Multiple Modules" section, pointing the LRC at the TM, which will communicate the commands to all the Modules in program mode. Programming Effects with TM The Effects program requires a TM to synchronize all the DM s and NDM s in the system and to store the program. Creating Cycles The Cycle effect will transition from one scene to another through a selected sequence of scenes and will repeat the same scene sequence while activated. The TM has the capability of storing up to 6 Cycles. These are referred to as cycles A B C D E and F. Each Cycle consists of 1 to 10 steps. Each step consists of a pre-fade (Optional), a scene, and a delay (Optional). Cycles can be executed once and stop automatically (single cycle), or repeat (loop) until stopped by the user. NOTE: If more than one TM is going to be used to cycle, they must all be on different addresses (see page 18). If they will be cycling on different circuits using Lightolier Controls Compose Firewall, up to two cycles can be run at the same time. beam at the TM s receiver to select it and place it in program mode. Press and hold the Cycle c button for more than 3 seconds (the TM s LED will blink rapidly and then after 3 seconds stay on). Release the Cycle c button. The TM s LED will indicate that it s in cycle program mode by turning on with short blinks every second. 3. Select the Cycle to be programmed by pressing a letter button ( A B C D E or F ). 4. Press the Begin b button to start the programming. The LED will blink repeatedly one short blink and a delay to indicate that it is waiting for a Fade Rate or a Scene to be entered. 5. To enter a Cycle sequence without entering fade rates and time delays (system will use the default fades and delays), simply press the Scene button in the desired sequence. Ex. ( A C ON D OFF B ).The Scenes selected will be transmitted to all Modules to show the scene effects. Advance to step 7. 6. To enter a Cycle sequence with fade rates and/or time delays follow steps 6a, 6b and 6c. a) To enter (or change) a Fade Rate, press the fade f button (for a 1 1/2 second fade) or f and one of the TIME buttons ( 3 7 15 30 sec. 5 or 30 min.) for the desired Fade Rate. (If any of these buttons are pressed after each other, the last button pressed will be what is programmed). The LED will blink repeatedly one short blink and a delay to indicate that it is waiting for a Scene to be entered. 14 15

(To use default or programmed Fade Rate skip this step and advance directly to step 6b). Advance to step 6b. b) Enter the desired Scene by pressing the SCENE button ( A B C D E F ON or OFF ). The Scene selected will be transmitted to all modules to show the Scenes effect. The LED will blink repeatedly two short blinks and a delay to indicate that it is waiting for a Time Delay, or that it is ready for the next Scene to be entered. (To use the default Time Delay, skip step 6c ). Advance to step 6c. c) To enter a Time Delay, press one of the TIME buttons ( 3 7 15 30 sec. 5 or 30 min.). i) To accumulate the previous selected Time Delay, press the same TIME button up to 3 more times. (ex: 5 min., 5 min., 5 min., 5 min., will allow a 20 minute delay to be entered). ii) To select a different Time Delay and override your previous selection, press one of the TIME buttons ( 3 7 15 30 sec. 5 or 30 min.) different than what was previously selected. For the next scene in the Cycle sequence, repeat steps 6a, 6b, 6c. A total of 10 Scenes can be entered into a Cycle program. NOTE: If an 11th Scene is attempted, the TM s LED will turn on with short off blinks every second to indicate that no more steps can be entered. Once the desired Cycle Scene sequence is completed, Advance to step 7. 7. Ending a Cycle Sequence can be done anytime during steps 5 or 6 and will end wherever the last command is entered. a) To exit the Cycle program mode, SAVE any parameters you have just set, and make the entered program execute once and then automatically stop, press the Learn button. b) To exit the Cycle program mode, SAVE any parameters you have just set, and make the entered program repeat (cycle) until stopped by the user, press the Cycle c button and then the Learn button. c) To exit the Cycle program mode and CANCEL any An example of a Cycle Sequence using all of the above combinations is as follows: Pgm Step I: Fade in 1.5 seconds to Scene "A", then delay 7 seconds. Pgm Step II: Fade in 15 seconds to Scene "B" (no delay after Scene "B" is reached). Pgm Step III: Fade to Scene "C" (using the each Modules individual default fades), and delay 6 seconds. Pgm Step IV: Fade in 3 seconds to "OFF", (no delay after "OFF" is reached). Pgm Step V: Repeat (cycle) Program Steps I-IV. To enter the above Cycle using the LRC, perform the following: beam at the TM s receiver until it starts to blink at a 1/2 second rate. 2. Press and hold the Cycle c button for more than 3 seconds. 3. Select the Cycle to be programmed by pressing a letter button ( A B C D E or F ). 4. Press the Begin b button to start the programming. 5. Press the fade f button, the A button, and then the 7 sec button to program Step I. 6. Press the fade f button, the 15 sec. button, and then the B button to program Step II. 7. Press the C button, and then the 3 sec. button (twice) to program Step III. 8. Press the fade f button, the 3 sec. button, and then the OFF button to program Step IV. 9. Press the Cycle c button. 10. Press the Learn button. Clearing Cycles NOTE: Performing this command will overwrite any cycle you have programmed. Make sure your not overwriting anything you will need. To clear a cycle, perform steps 1 to 4, then step 7a from the "Creating Cycles" section. This will put no information on the cycle, clearing anything previously entered. 7. Programming ATOM (Advanced Features) Enabling/Disabling the IR (DM, NDM, & TM) parameters you just set, press the end e button. The IR receiver can be Enabled or Disabled. The Factory The selected modules LED s will stop blinking Default for the module s IR (InfraRed control) is Disabled indicating that you are not in program mode any and the TM is Enabled. This prevents individual module s more. from responding to IR commands when not in Program Mode (which is only activated by the laser) and only reacting to commands sent to the TM. A TM will only operate with a DM, NDM, or WRC that match its same address. All modules,tm s, & WRC s have the same address when shipped from the factory. If a change in address is desired: modules, select them in the same manner if they need to be programmed identically to the first module.) Aim the LRC in the direction of the TM and press the Cycle c button. Advance to step 4. b) To program the modules address to match a WRC or Compose CP Master Unit s address, aim the LRC in the direction of the module and press any of the SCENE buttons ( A B C D E or F ) (this puts the modules in address search mode which looks for another units address) and wait two seconds. Press any SCENE button (A, B, C, D, ON, or OFF) on the WRC or CP Master Unit. Advance to step 4. If you want to program a TM s address to match the address of a WRC or Compose CP Master. Point the LRC at the TM and press any of the SCENE buttons ( A B C D E or F ) (this puts the modules in address search mode which looks for another units address) and wait two seconds. Press any SCENE button (A, B, C, D, ON, or OFF) on the WRC or CP Master Unit. Advance to step 4. 4. To exit the program mode and SAVE the parameters you have just set, press the Learn button. To exit the program mode and CANCEL any parameters you just set, press the end e button. The selected modules) LED(s) will stop blinking indicating that you are no longer in program mode. NOTE: To do a check to see what modules are on the TM s address, see Globally Select Modules with TM from section 6. All of the modules that go into program mode are on the same address as the TM. Address Programming for a WRC 1. On the WRC, press and hold the B and E buttons for 3 seconds. The Cycle button will blink and the house address will be displayed on the remaining buttons. 2. Press the B button multiple times until only the End button is lit. You are now at House A. 3. Press the A button to select House B. 4. Press the A button again to select House C. Continue this sequence until the desired House is selected. 5. Press the Cycle button. You will now select the unit number. 6. Press the B button until only the End button is lit (This is done the same way as in step 2). You are now at Unit 1. 7. Press the A button to select Unit 2. 8. Press the A button again to select Unit 2. Continue this sequence until the desired unit is selected. 9. Press the Cycle button to exit and save the address settings. 18 19

Operation of the ATOM System Operating Commands For all of the commands listed here, there are several different ways to communicate them to the modules. They can be received from the LCR, TM, or WMC. If there are selected modules that need to be set, the LRC must be used. If multiple modules need to change all at once, you could (1) Individually select all of the modules with the LRC, (2) set them all at once with a TM and communicate to it with either the LRC or WMC, or (3) set them all at once (without using a TM) with just a WMC. NOTE: Whenever the power is turned off, the Modules and TMs will keep their individual settings. If in a Scene when the power is turned off, they will automatically fade back to the scene they where in when power returns. If running a cycle when power is turned off, they will automatically start that same cycle over again from the beginning step when power returns. Turning On & Off (DM, NDM, & TM) Using the LRC: NOTE: If using a TM and would like to communicate with all modules (with it s same address) at once, skip step 1 and begin on step 2. modules, select them in the same manner if they need to be programmed identically to the first module.) (All of the modules that have the same address as the WMC will respond to scene changes). The module(s) will start to fade to the current scene level (the default fade rate for all scenes is 3 sec). NOTE: Pressing the END button will transmit the OFF scene. Pre-Fading a Scene (DM & TM) Using the LRC: NOTE: If using a TM and would like to communicate with all modules (with it s same address) at once, skip step 1 and begin on step 2. modules, select them in the same manner if they need to be programmed identically to the first module.) NOTE: If the present fade rate is long, you can press the Fade f button to force a fast fade into the scene. This will force a 1 1/2 sec fade on the present scene. Starting a Pre-Programmed Cycle (TM) Using the LRC: 1. Press the Cycle c button. 2. Press the desired Cycle button ( A B C D E or F ). If this step is skipped, the last cycle that was run will be selected. 3. Press the Begin b button. The cycle will start its programmed step 1. The TM s LED will turn on with short blinks every second to indicate that it is in Cycle Mode (controlling the TM). 4. To skip a running cycle one step (for testing purposes), press the Fade f button. All Modules will fast fade to their scene and after 2 seconds the TM will start executing its next step. Using the WRC: 1. Press the CYCLE button. The button s LED will turn on for 4 seconds waiting for a command. 2. While the CYCLE button is still turned on: a) Press the CYCLE button again to start the cycle that was last run. b) Press the desired cycle button (A through F) to start its cycle. While a cycle is running, the CYCLE button s LED will remain on and the cycle being executed button (A through F) will blink at a 1 second rate. Halting a Running Cycle (TM) Using the LRC: a) Press any SCENE button ( A B C D E F ON or OFF ). The cycle will stop and all modules will advance to the scene pressed at their individual fade rates. b) Press the End e button. All modules will halt any fading and the cycle will stop. Using the WRC: a) Press the CYCLE button to interrupt any cycle program running and transmit the cycle command. The button s LED will turn on for 4 seconds and then turn off. b) Press any scene button (A through F) to interrupt any cycle program running and transmit the scene command. All modules will change to that selected scene and their LED s will turn on. c) Press the END button to interrupt any cycle program presently running and stop any modules fading. Troubleshooting When I point the LRC at the TM and try to raise or lower the light level of all of the modules, nothing happens. Check the LED on the LRC. If it is blinking, this means you re in select/program mode. In order to raise or lower modules with a TM in this mode, you must individually select the modules you want to change or if you want all modules to raise or lower at the same time, you must exit this mode first by pressing the end e button. When dimming, the module will continue to dim even after I ve stopped pressing the remote buttons. Because of the delay in receiving IR commands, the desired light level may have been missed. Therefore release the up or down button s prior to the desired light level. Make sure there is a good ground throughout, starting at the luminaire ground and ending with the earth ground. 24 25

Remote does not work: Check that you are within 25 feet of the module you are trying to transfer commands to and in a direct line-of-sight. The batteries may need replacement or the Protective plastic may need to be removed (first time use only). See "Replacing Batteries" in section 4. The track luminaires are going on and off without touching any buttons anywhere to initiate it: There could be a cycle running. To know if a cycle is running, check the TM. If its LED is blinking, a cycle is most-likely running. If using the WRC, the CYCLE button s LED will be lit and the button s LED or the cycle that s running (A through F) will be blinking. Is there an In-Line Filter on the circuit? It is recommended for each track circuit with an ATOM installation. The In-Line Filter reduces unwanted electrical noise on track circuit. The modules could be in the process of a very long fade. To advance a fade, hit the fade f button. 10. Appendix Addressing: Allows you to set and address individual modules to run several completely separate ATOM systems on the same track. Setting an address will also allow you to communicate with the Lightolier Controls Compose PLC line. Cycle: The modules can cycle trough scenes with programmed fade rates and time delays in a continuous loop or a single cycle. This function requires a Track Master Module. Cycle Program Mode: Activated when the laser on the LRC is pointed at a receiver on a TM, in this mode the TM can receive IR commands to set scenes to communicate with all of the modules with it s same address. Fade Rate: The time transition between scenes can be programmed into each module. The fade rate is this transition. Modules are pre-programmed with a 3 sec fade rate between scenes that may be extended to 30 minutes or reduced to 1.5 seconds. Module: Used to denote either a DM, NDM, or both. Program Mode: Activated when the laser on the LRC is pointed at a receiver on a module, in this mode the module can receive IR commands to change light intensities, fades, and scenes. Scene: Lighting effects and light levels can be saved in each module for use at any time. Each group of saved settings is called a scene. Each module has 6 programmable scenes (A through F) and On and Off scenes. System: A group of more than one DM and/or NDM, used with a TM and/or WMC to make up a "system" that talks to itself. Time Delay: In a cycle program, the time a scene will run. The time delay will start once the scene is done fading in. Right after the time delay is done, the fade to the next scene begins. 26 27
