Page 5 ML1-936 Downconversion Spurious Suppression Spurious data is taken by selecting RF and LO frequencies (+mlo+nrf) within the 9 to 36 GHz RF/LO bands, which create a 1 MHz IF spurious output. The mixer is swept across the full spurious band and the mean is calculated. The numbers shown in the table below are for a -1 dbm RF input. Spurious suppression is scaled for different RF power levels by (n-1), where n is the RF spur order. For example, the 2RFx2LO spur is 56 dbc for the I-diode version for a -1 dbm input, so a -2 dbm RF input creates a spur that is (2-1) x (-1 db) db lower, or 66 dbc. Typical Downconversion Spurious Suppression (dbc): I-diode (L-diode) 5-1 dbm RF Input xlo 1xLO 2xLO 3xLO 4xLO 5xLO 1xRF 21 (21) Reference 26 (29) 11 (12) 35 (44) 23 (24) 2xRF 68 (63) 56 (53) 56 (57) 54 (56) 62 (62) 62 (56) 3xRF 91 (77) 57 (49) 8 (68) 68 (55) 85 (69) 67 (55) 4xRF 113 (11) 96 (89) 93 (89) 12 (94) 16 (95) 17 (92) 5xRF 118 (124) 114 (1) 115 (99) 116 (97) 124 (14) 119 (94) Upconversion Spurious Suppression Spurious data is taken by mixing a 1 MHz IF with LO frequencies (+mlo+nif), which creates an RF within the 9 to 36 GHz RF band. The mixer is swept across the full spurious output band and the mean is calculated. The numbers shown in the table below are for a -1 dbm IF input. Spurious suppression is scaled for different IF input power levels by (n-1), where n is the IF spur order. For example, the 2IFx1LO spur is typically 66 dbc for the I-diode version for a -1 dbm input, so a -2 dbm IF input creates a spur that is (2-1) x (-1 db) db lower, or 76 dbc. Typical Upconversion Spurious Suppression (dbc): I-diode (L-diode) 5-1 dbm IF Input xlo 1xLO 2xLO 3xLO 4xLO 5xLO 1xIF 18 (17) Reference 24 (28) 1 (1) 35 (33) 27 (28) 2xIF 58 (53) 66 (59) 54 (54) 59 (57) 6 (56) 62 (62) 3xIF 11 (85) 76 (66) 79 (67) 75 (65) 83 (73) 69 (57) 4xIF 119 (16) 18 (99) 15 (92) 121 (12) 11 (96) 11 (98) 5xIF 134 (12) 125 (15) 122 (16) 131 (111) 129 (117) 127 (12)
