1 Summary Cornerstone arts centre consists of the main house which is 217 seat end on format with raked seating. An extra row (AA) of flat floor seating can be added giving a capacity of 234. The stage is a proscenium arch format with black box masking. The seating is fully retractable bleacher style seating. Backstage we have a large scenery dock and small workshop. There is a large greenroom along with two large dressing rooms. The following information lists most FAQ s along with the relevant technical information. Please confirm your technical requirements before you visit as Cornerstone is a busy venue and equipment and specifications are subject to change and cannot be guaranteed. In the first instance please contact the Technical Manager grover.hall@southoxon.gov.uk Access and Parking We have a small service yard that can accommodate approximately eight cars. It is also big enough to accommodate a 1 x 40ft trailer with tractor unit. The correct postcode for our service yard is OX11 8RJ. Access to the yard can be given by phoning the Duty Manager mobile (Number upon application). Parking for all non-essential crew is via public car parks which are around two minutes walk away. Load-in is situated in the service yard and is via roller shutter doors. (3560mm width by 3900mm height). Auditorium Seated capacity is 234 (with AA) or up to 250 with seating retracted and standing space (auditorium side). The stage is a proscenium arch format with black box masking. The Auditorium has a full air conditioning and heating system. Backstage Facilities On the ground floor off to stage right we have a very large green room with sofas, tea/coffee making, microwave, fridge and television. You are also welcome to use the washing machine and dryer along with our iron. The green room has its own accessible toilet and there is another in the corridor adjacent to the green room. Off to stage right there are two large dressing rooms. Dressing room one has mirrored seating for seven along with a small sofa bed, accessible toilet and shower facilities. Dressing room two consists of mirrored seating for six along with accessible toilet and shower facilities. Stage Management We do not have a permanent Prompt Corner, but do have an LCD screen (with FOH camera feed) along with a stage management console (please request in advance) that has ROH calling along with cue light calling and comms master station. There is also access to the electronic FOH tab control system.

There are a further 5 motorised bars (12-16) over the audience seating. Each bar has a SWL of 250kg; this is not to be exceeded under any circumstances. There are no fixed flying points for flown PA or truss. We may be able to offer flying points off structural girders with advance notice and risk assessments. House tabs are operated independently of any of the fly-bars, and are motorised. We do have half tabs at approximately mid stage, these would need advance notice if they are to be moved, and these are operated by a manual pulley system. Masking and Drapes We have six Tormentors (hard masking 6 meters by 1 m) which can be used to mask entrances and exits, along with various soft legs and borders. We also have a full stage white cyclorama (please notify us in advance if you would like to use this). Power (Touring) Cornerstone has one 63 Amp 3-phase supply, or two 32 Amp 3-phase supplies available for use by touring companies; these supplies are situated in the scene dock. There is no distro unit or 3- phase cable carried in house. This supply is independent of the other LX and Sound circuits situated in the auditorium. 3 Lighting Information Cornerstone s lighting grid runs on 16 Amp single phase 3-pin CEEFORM connectors. There are limited 16A-15A and 16A-13A converters available in house. Current set up is 2x advanced FoH bars and 4x onstage bars; each bar contains 2x six way IWB. Cornerstone does have limited 32 Amp circuits available for larger fixtures; these are all at stage level. Cornerstone has 2 DMX universes available to use. There are no DMX injection ports available at stage level; DMX injection is only available from the control booth at the rear of the auditorium. Cornerstone holds a very limited amount of gel in house, please contact us for a detailed list. 4 Sound Information The Front of House PA consists of: 2x EM Acoustics i-12 Subwoofers and 2x EM Acoustics EMS- 121 tops ground stacked either side of stage, as well as 2x EM Acoustics tops flown either side of the proscenium arch, in front of the stage header. The system is governed by a DBX Driverack Venu360 and powered by 3x QSC PL236 amplifier. We are only able to offer touring companies L&R control over the system at present. 5 Audio visual Cornerstone has a number of portable projectors available for use in house; their use may be recharged. There are also a limited number of laptops available to be used these must be booked at least 1 week in advance, and may be re-charged. In the auditorium, there is one projector flown on house bar 15, next to the technical box; there is a corresponding motorised screen flown on house bar 4. There is no shutter for the flown projector, although there is an inbuilt AV mute facility. All AV is patched through the house systems using VGA to Cat5 converters and the house Data ring. There are limited converters for Apple computers carried in house, please check in advance if your MAC is supported. Hearing loop: Cornerstone has a Sennheiser Infrared hearing loop installed, and 10 headsets available from box office. Show relay: Cornerstone has a show relay which feeds from the auditorium into the backstage areas and the office. It is manually switched on by the duty technician prior to a show. Should you wish the show relay to be used, please inform the duty technician on the day of your performance. All incoming equipment must display a valid PAT test sticker. Any equipment that does not may be tested by one of the house technicians this may incur a charge per item. Replica weapons (including firearms, knives, and swords), or pyro technics being brought in by a touring company must be brought to the attention at least ONE MONTH prior to show date.
