Give the student one prompt at a time and allow him/her to complete it before giving the next question. Responses may be written by the child, given orally, or a combination of both, according to the child s preference. Parents should transcribe all oral answers in a Word document, giving plenty of time for the child to think. (If you do not type or would prefer to hand-write your child s response, please scan those for us.) Do not interrupt the child or ask prompting questions as a general rule.
