The EURASIA Journal is now associated with iser The International Society of Educational Research Scope The EURASIA Journal publishes original articles in the following areas: Mathematics education Science education Environmental education Technology Education Educational/instructional technologies. The aim is to advance the scholarship and the scientific knowledge base in these areas. Articles can take variety of forms of scholarly communication. We emphasize communications which have not been stressed adequately in the past such as interview/conversations with eminent scholars of the field and hence encourage authors to get engaged in such activities and prepare manuscripts of this form. We welcome ideas and suggestions for special issues dedicated to a special theme or region/country. 2

Citation Report EURASIA Journal articles, as of today, received a total of 928 citations from 187 different journals SSCI indexing of the EURASIA Journal A major accomplishment came in 2013 when the journal was announced to be included in SSCI - Social Science Citation Index and Current Contents - Social & Behavioral Sciences index of the Web of Science. Before that, the journal was already being abstracted and indexed by SCOPUS and ERIC, the two other well known institutions in the field of education. 6
Journal impact factor Journal Citation Reports (JCR) uses a construct called Journal Impact Factor, inter alia, in order to rank indexed journals. JCR offers a systematic, objective means to critically evaluate the world's leading journals, with quantifiable, statistical information based on citation data. By compiling articles' cited references, JCR helps to measure research influence and impact at the journal and category levels, and shows the relationship between citing and cited journals. Journal impact factor Definition: The journal Impact Factor is the average number of times articles from the journal published in the past two years have been cited in the JCR year. The Impact Factor is calculated by dividing the number of citations in the JCR year by the total number of articles published in the two previous years. An Impact Factor of 1.0 means that, on average, the articles published one or two year ago have been cited one time. Citations to 2012 + 2013 articles in 2014 2014 IF= Number of articles published in 2012 + 2013 7
In June 2015 JCR the first impact factor for the EURASIA Journal was announced by Thomson Reuters for the articles published in 2012 and 2013. EURASIA Journal Impact Factor (IF) ISI (Reuters Thompson) Impact Factor 2014 1.016 8

They also contain country and institution info. They provide powerful search tools. Dissemination of published works become easier. Prior to including journals in their indexes they run a years long quality checks for the journals operations. They categorize published works and thus increase their visibility and accessibility. They make tracking an author s works and related works of others. 9

HOW TO WRITE SUCCESSFUL MANUSCRIPTS --- Some Suggestions Manuscript Writing Suggestions We follow the manuscript writing style of the APA Publication Manual. This is a crucial point that should not be missed by authors. Below are some important issues from the APA Manual: 11
12
Do not submit your very first draft to any journal! 13
Main reasons for rejecting a manuscript Originality: We expect that manuscript contributions to EURASIA Journal should be totally new and original work of the authors which has not been published elsewhere before in any form. In a field of research originality also refers to uniqueness, inventiveness, and creativity. Interestingness/Appropriateness: The manuscripts should be appealing to our readership. Please bear in mind that EURASIA Journal publishes scholarly works of researchers but not specific lesson plans, classroom anecdote, short notes and the like. EURASIA Journal is dedicated to publishing scholarly works in the fields of mathematics, science, and technology education and thus we do not consider papers in the basic sciences or in engineering which do not have any educational relevance and/or significance. Significance: The papers appearing in EURASIA Journal should make significant contributions to our understanding of the nature of important educational questions and problems, and to their solutions. Hence, for a typical research paper, research questions, design, employed methods, findings, results, implications and a thorough discussion are all very important. Quality: On top of the items mentioned above it is also important to write a manuscript in a scholarly way which includes the mode of the scientific discourse, style, and language. Overall, we consider manuscripts which open up the way to unexplored territories in its respected research field and successfully demonstrate how new ways of scientific discourse contributes to research are most notable and hence valuable. Good Writing : Short Paragraphs Avoid overly-long paragraphs; they tax the concentration of the reader, and obscure the structure of an argument. State the theme or claim of paragraph in its first sentence. If all first sentences are put together, they should give a synopsis of the mss. If a pronoun begins a paragraph, it should be changed to the proper noun to which it is referring, usually in the preceding paragraph. 14
Indicators of Publishable Research Pose significant questions that can be investigated empirically (historically, philosophically). Link research to theory. Use methods that permit direct investigation of question. Provide a coherent and explicit chain of reasoning. Replicate and generalise across studies. Culturally relevant articles For discussion: Why would people from other countries could/should be interested in a study from Taiwan? How would you write your article so that international people would be interested in reading and citing it? Inference 18
