Name: Period: Date: My Pentatonic Composition Project 1. Compose 4 measures of 4/4 time using basic notation on the staff paper. 2. Create your rhythmic pattern for your pentatonic composition on the lines provided. 3. Add the notes of the Pentatonic Scale C,D,E,G,A, to your rhythm on the final composition paper. By doing so, you ve created a melody! Remember how melodies move: step, repeated tones and leaps. 4. Give your melody a title. 5. Include bar lines, double bar lines at the end of the composition, treble clef and time signature. 6. *Notes above the third line stems go down on the left. Notes below the third line stems go up on the right. 7. Practice your melody on your xylophone and be prepared to share with the class. 8.
