Welcome to Spokane! Welcome to beautiful Spokane, Washington, and the Rocky Mountain Theatre Convention! Our convention host, Diane Eve, Regional Director of Rocky Mountain NATO, and the convention committee, have crafted what is sure to be an informative and fun-filled three days. Most convention activities will be held in the historic Davenport Hotel and at AMC River Park Square 20. The AMC theatre is a pleasant three-block stroll from the hotel, located in River Park Square in Downtown Spokane. Those playing in the Golf Classic are asked to meet in the historic hotel lobby at 8:30AM, Tuesday, for transport to Indian Canyon Golf Course. Those going on the Guided Best of Spokane Area Tour should meet at 8:30AM at the fountain in the hotel lobby. Also on Tuesday, Liberty Studios will present a trade screening of Walking With the Enemy at 3:00PM at AMC River Park Square 20. Convention festivities get into full swing Tuesday evening with a Meet and Greet cocktail party and buffet-style dinner in the Isabella Room on the Mezzanine level of the hotel, followed by a screening of The Best of Me from Relativity Media. Wednesday s educational seminars begin at 8:00AM, and include a Captioning Regulations Panel, presentations on Getting Ahead of the Game with Technology and Marketing Your Theatre in the 21st Century as well as a NATO Issues briefing. Lunch will feature presentations from Barbara West of St. Jude Children s Research Hospital and Dan Klusmann of Independent Marketing Edge. A fun game of Black-Out Bingo will be part of the Trade Show this year. As you enter the Trade Show you will be given a card listing all the vendors at the show. All vendors must sign off on this card. When completed, return your card to the Rocky Mountain NATO trade show table and enter to win a fabulous prize! A predinner social and dinner in the Isabella Room is followed by a screening of Fury by Sony Pictures Releasing. Thursday begins with a continental breakfast and studio product presentations at AMC River Park Square 20 at 8:30AM, followed by a lunch presentation Spending Money on Purpose by Chris Patterson of Food Services of America, an afternoon Sharing Ideas Open Discussion and a meeting of the Cinema Buyers Group. The convention winds up Thursday evening with the Legendary Hollywood Final Evening cocktail party and dinner beginning at 5:00PM, followed by a screening of The Book of Life from 20th Century Fox. Tuesday Afternoon Screening Walking With the Enemy Liberty Studios Inspired by a true story, Walking With the Enemy follows the heroic lives of a world leader and a young man swept up in the horrors of WWII. Regent Horthy (Ben Kingsley) is the remarkable leader of Hungary and a German ally, but his favorable standing with Hitler changes as the war comes to an end. In an attempt to balance war and peace, the Regent is faced with ceding power to German adversaries or witnessing the execution of his son. As his control of the country is challenged, his enemies move Hungarians to ghettos and death camps, with no hope in sight. But the despair changes when a young man named Elek (Jonas Armstrong) emerges. Separated from his family during the relocations and aided by the woman he loves, he defies the enemy by becoming one of them. In a race against time, disguised as a Nazi Officer he embarks on a mission to save his family and thousands of his countrymen.
