1 Overview Press at a Glance is an information tool that provides a number of reports about the status of the press. These reports include information about press errors, paper jams, supply usage, press settings, and the status of numerous press components. Press at a Glance provides a concise view for verifying the proper functionality of the press. You can access the Press at a Glance tool through the off-press home page or by using the on-press interface. Figure 1-1 HP Indigo PrintCare screen If you access Press at a Glance through the off-press home page, a prompt appears asking you to select the.pag data file for the session. The.pag file contains all the data used in the reports and graphs. Browse to the appropriate.pag file, select it and click Open. Figure 1-2 Open.pag file dialog NOTE: You can also open Press at a Glance by using Windows Explorer to browse for a.pag file and double-clicking on it. This action opens Press at a Glance using the selected.pag file. ENWW 1

The Press at a Glance screen The Press at a Glance screen is composed of several key components. They are described in the figure below. Figure 1-3 Press at a Glance screen 1 Primary Report drop-down: lists the primary report options for Press at a Glance. 2 Secondary Report drop-down: lists the sub report options for the selected item in the Primary List. 3 Reporting Period drop-down: displays the default date ranges for each report. You can specify a specific date range by choosing the Select Dates option from this list and clicking in the Reporting Period text box to display a calendar tool to select the dates from. 4 Date Range text box: displays the specific dates indicated by the selection in the Reporting Period drop-down. If you choose the Select Date option from the Reporting Period drop-down list, you can click on the Reporting Period text box to display a calendar and select the specific dates. 5 Load/Refresh button: allows you to specify the database file for Press at a Glance when viewing it off-press. To change the database file, click Load and browse for a different file. When viewing Press at a Glance on-press, the button is labeled Refresh. Click it to refresh the information from the database. 6 Report and table column headers: describes the information presented in each report. The columns can be sorted by clicking on the header titles. 7 Report display area: The information for the selected report is displayed here. 8 Graph display area: A graphical representation of the report data is displayed here. Each report that features a table can be sorted by each of the column values. To sort a list, click on one of the column headers. Each list can be sorted in ascending or descending order. Some of the report drop-downs for graphical reports may display an i icon ( ) next to the report name. The icon indicates that one or more values charted in the report is outside of the normal operating range. When you view the report, the graphs containing the value(s) outside of the normal operating range are highlighted with a red border. 2 Chapter 1 Overview ENWW

Many graphs in the Press at a Glance reports feature a light gray band at the top and the bottom of the graph (callout 1). These bands define the borders of the operational range for the chart. If a data values appears within a gray band, then the value is outside of the normal operating range. Figure 1-4 Red border example graph ENWW The Press at a Glance screen 3
